  • The Lily Windmill is an authentic 16th Century design brick “ground-sail” mill. The five story full size Dutch Windmill, with its 22 Ton cap and a sail length of 24.6 meters, is one of the largest traditional windmills ever built in Australia. The Lily Windmill is the only fully operational flour producing windmill in Australia.

  • This buffet decoration is very unique, I loved the Old El Paso mexican theme. almost every piece of it is created from baked crusty bread. I do not take any credit for the teriffic carvings done here, just for the photograph.

  • A building, possibly the bakery, located at the “Abbey of the Genesee,” Piffard, NY. “The Abbey of the Genesee is a community of contemplative monks belonging to the world-wide Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (O.C.S.O.) more commonly known as Trappists. “ They share common work of baking Monks’ Bread. Presently the monks bake three days a week. The bread is sold to a local distributor for distribution to supermarkets in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse, New York.   • From the Maritimers series - they say the sea is generous, / so they harvest in between storms… tie all their hopes around bollards, / defying salt, brown of the rust - their will to live to fishing nets, / in the harbour, / a bit of warmth.

  • While sailing our rental boat down the Nivernais Canal on a rainy day, I started playing with some of the food in the kitchen, added a dishtowel or two to hide the counter, threw in a bottle of wine and took some shots, playing with various settings for the best effect.
