Self-Portrait: Peace
That was the Spring. / Blue sky, / green grass, / sunshine to warm us. / We were healthy and vigorous.
A short story in poem format, of the changing seasons – of nature and life.
It looks naked and dead
This poem belongs to my picture: Branches of Life

This is a short extract from my book ‘only for now’ The eye is the character, constantly absorbing, it can not ‘un-see’ the seen. By ‘Host’ the body is meant, the body that carries the eyes. ‘A tree this is, but not as the one within you,’ refers to something very different, earlier in the book.

We are each different, yet the same / Remembering from whence we came: Our roots, Tradition, holding fast / As we embrace and learn our …
I love to focus on how we are much the same, though each unique. The way we continue branching out from our common roots reminds me of a tree, rooted in earth while reaching in all directions…and toward the heavens.
She, / Like a tree, Just kept on growing, / Until growing became knowing
/ Kellie Cranmer is one of the most incredible artists I have met up with here on RB. I have always marveled at her ability to see the lighter side of this existence as well as the rich deep layers of life we are challenged to embrace and perhaps create with. Her own personal experiences as of late has inspired my own view of who I am as artist as well as my own appreciation for each moment of life here on Planet Marvel! I went to her PF and saw this piece. I have seen it many times but never commented nor wrote on it. I love this creation. It is so feminine and powerful. I wrote a poem inspired by this work and she has given me permission to add the art to the poem. Thanks you Kellie! / . / MOTHER NATURE BY KELLIE CRANMER /

Have no idea how this measures up to a proper elegy in terms of meter, but, I am happy to have discovered I chose the right word and even the proper spelling, in regards to it being a response to a picture of a graveyard. Woo hoo! Graven Image was the inspiraiton, by the way, as you can tell by looking for my comment on there!

Eucharist What? / Thanksgiving and Blessing in Sacrament of Nourishment / A Marvelous Cup Poem by Jeffee
Chalice,EUCHARIST- What is it? The Eucharist is a rite of food, instituted in the course of a meal. From earliest times, man has attributed to food a sacred value, sustaining life thanks to the munificence of the divinity. Bread, water, wine, fruits, etc. Sacred ties, from symbols to reality, expressing the communication of life which God gives to His people. (Biblical Theology) and things I wrote down. / Paschal Banquet / Christ Received / Symbol of Unity / Body of Christ / The Church’s Life / Center of Christian Life / Filled With Grace / Life of The Trinity / The Kindom of God Some of the images these words go appropriately with for meaning are VINE AND BRANCHES, HOLY GRAIL, CHALICE, CUP, SHAMROCK TRINITY
Neither roots / nor branches – vulnerable / and alone.
