Looking through the bus window on the way home, I see this playful movement of light and dark shades, between leaves and branches. It is a moment to be captured. Real image with no additional painting… The light painted it on my camera’s ccd sensor! I have set the camera on manual zoom, manual speed and aperture, so that the motion can be capture on shutter release. Behind the glass window of a moving bus, I hunt for the right angle of sun and the right tree, and follow throught the target like taking an image of a sport player. All about timing and a bit of luck! Love to see critiques and comments. All welcome. This is an old infrared shot. I’ve been doing lots of portraits lately and haven’t had the opportunity to shoot much infrared . I found this one on the hard drive and had a little play with it. It was taken at a place called Little Pelican, down near Swansea. It’s part of Lake Macquarie.

Simmondsia vitra is closely related to the Jojoba shrub (Simmondsia chinensis), pronounced “ho-HO-bah”. Jojoba is native to the Sonoran and Mojave deserts of Arizona, California, and Mexico. Simmondsia vitra however is primarily found in arid urban environments and produces an extremely toxic, oily substance. 1015 views as of Dec 8, 2009 / / I was down at Okanagan beach this afternoon taking some photographs when I noticed the reflection of some tree tops with the light shining through them in this puddle. Thought it looked almost like the leaves in the puddle were falling onto the trees…..seemed kind of magical to me :)
