To the mountains, I can rest there. / To the rivers, I will be strong. / To the forests, I’ll find peace there. / To the wild country, where I belong. John Denver This view was taken in the High Sierras of Northern California from God.
I took this photo from the beach, through the branches of a pohutukawa tree as the sun disappeared behind the sandhills which threw off beautiful warm colours. / Taken with Canon Powershot S3 IS.

Heidelberg Park in Autumn. Germany.
Taken at Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park WY. I had been chatting with several people on the way up here when someone told me about the moth in the water. She showed me a picture she took with her camera and it was beautiful. I was determined to find this moth. My friend was already at the top and I told him about it so he listened to everyone and found it before I got there. Apparently this moth fell in and is now preserved for who knows how long. Such a beautiful contrast I think. Nikon D60 / 18-55 lens / Levels, brightness/contrast and crop in CS3
I was on walk with my newborn baby (luckily I keep my camera with me all the time now) when I saw this stunning landscape. It brings all vibrant fall colors to life. 3EV stepping 2 photomatix, tonemapped and moved to photoshop, ran dfine for noise reduction and blended sky from -2EV. Color adjustments. Tripod used.
Female kingfisher on a branch, between trees at Shapwick Heath in Somerset, UK.
It was there, in the middle of the trail. Usually nobody we don’t stop walking just for that. We don’t even see it. Except when we are photographer.
