  • Another shot I took of an ice covered lake in Belleville, Ontario.

  • We have had freezing rain and all of the branches are covered with ice, it looks so pretty but it can be dangerous if the ice gets too heavy. It’s been raining for hours now and as the temperature drops the ice might get thicker but my kids don’t mind….....it was a snow day today :) P.S. I keep having problems with my computer….we are down to sharing one until we figure out what’s wrong with the netgear. see ya on and off :)

  • I found a little bit of ice in the shape of a heart, It was just beginning to melt off of the vine. Ruth Palmer mentioned that the vine looked like a little girl and it looks like she’s tugging on a heart string too :) another version

  • The dark colors in this shot kept reminding me of Gotham City and how it always seemed dark and colorless there. Taken in the exact same place as Hanging By a Moment, a bush right outside my front door.

  • Country road through the forest in the winter.

  • Taken after a recent ice storm here in Upstate New York. This image reminded me of one of my favorite children’s books…Shel Silverstein’s “The Giving Tree” – about a tree that gave all it had until there was no more to give. A very generous soul. Manipulated in Photoshop and Corel Photo.

  • This is taken a couple of nights ago. Yes… night… I was on my way to hug my pillow and I saw through the window that the frost was so beautiful on my rose bush just outside my front door. So I grab the camera and take on my jacket :) This is one of the shots I get before freezing to death :D / Taken on 50cm distance with full zoom, 300mm. Top10, February 2009, in Severe Weather /

  • This was taken the day after the Frozen Branch #1 / in broad daylight. / It was my camera setting that made the background black. / f/14.0 / 1/180sec. / ISO 400 / Focal Lenght 300mm distance 50cm / Flash / HDR /

  • Beautiful to the eye, cold to the bones! This was the results of the Ice storm that blanketed all of Kentucky and residents are still pulling out from under it’s giant grip on all of mankind!

  • An Alaska Winter Sunset over Fairbanks North Star Borough From my collection: / Emerquinox Spirit of Alaska / Emerquinox is a word I coined when I combined the words Emerge and Equinox. • I know… it’s a photo that features no celebrities whatsoever This photo was taken under extreme conditions of sleep deprivation on day 5 of skiing, showing once again that I might not be best suited to taking on black runs in that frame of mind, but the camera still comes with. As for the title? I think it’s got to do with the helix/double-helix pattern within the icicle itself.
