I know I’m a day late for the Agent Provocateur something different challenge but this one was a struggle! In the end I decided to combine all the things I wanted to try into one. There’s some pixel action, a bit of black on black and even some braille. The song I’ve chosen is Leif Erikson by Interpol. If you haven’t heard this song you must go and buy the album now. It’s worth it just for this track and NYC. The braille idea comes from the opening lines and the red on the shirt represents the lyrics “brief things” in braille. She says It helps with the lights out / Her rabid glow is like braille to the night. / She swears I’m a slave to the details / But if your life is such a big joke, why should I care? The clock is set for nine but you know you’re gonna make it eight. / So that you two can take some time, teach each other to reciprocate. She feels that my sentimental side should be held with kid gloves / But she doesn’t know that I left my urge in the icebox / She swears I’m just prey to the female, / Well then hook me up and throw me, baby / cakes, cuz I like to get hooked. The clock is set for nine but you know you’re gonna make it eight. / All the people that you’ve loved they’re all / bound to leave some keepsakes. / I’ve been swinging all the time, think it’s time to learn your way. / I picture you and me together in the jungle it will be ok. I’ll bring you when my lifeboat sails through the night / That is supposing you don’t sleep tonight It’s like learning a new language / Helps me catch up on my mime / If you don’t bring up those lonely parts / This could be a good time / You come here to me. / We’ll pick up those lonely parts and set them down / You come here to me… She says brief things, her love’s a pony / My love’s subliminal
The writing is on the wall – if you can see it, you can’t read it. I passed this sculpture so many times. You have to. It is made of stainless steel and placed in one of the busiest Wellington streets, in the perfect position to capture the colorful lights of the city after daylight, the nightglow of the capital. The ‘Invisible City’, as it’s called, is the gigantic panel of Braille text that highlights the communication gap between those who can’t see and the rest of us. The post is designed to remember all the folks, my countrymen and yours, the often invisible part of society, all those who finish schools, who work, play music, do sports, pay taxes, have and raise children, to the benefit of us all.
Lambananas – a hybrid first done for Liverpool by Japanese artist which is all yellow. Liverpool have now put different designs on 100 and placed them around the North West of England – just for fun They are named Superlambananatree and Ba Ba Braille Sheep which is decorated in braille coloured circles and braille writing which is all over it for blind people to read
This is a Braille eye chart I created. / / It says… / / “Get your hand off my nipples you dirty blind sleazebag” /
It says “feel me up”. In braille. Get it?
Just a funny shirt to add to a collection…..also in Braille(by that I mean the dots above what it says is actually in braille dots…(no you can’t actually feel them unless you want to get slapped). I made this available in mens as well just for the extreme humor if there’s a man out there brave enough to wear it!!!!
Braille can be hard to read sometimes. Just a follow up of my other post – “Call Me” -Nes!
Have not been able to find anything on-line about this. But it is sitting in front of the entrance to Helen keller’s home. march 18, 2008 / ive green / tuscumbia, al
Love is in the air playing among the clouds and sunbeams. I made this t-shirt for my daughter, who is blind. The hearts inside circles form Braille letters that read “love.”
The dots spell the word “blind” in Braille. The thought arises: to whom is this an indication?

Poster produced by Eric Hartwell based on an original idea from Emily Lakdawalla to compare, at the same scale and at similar illumination angle, all of the asteorids and comets that have been visited by spacecraft. Also included are Mars’ moons, likely captured asteroids, and a few Earth artifacts for scale.
