  • Διόνυσος: I begin to sing of ivy-crowned Dionysus, the loud-crying god, splendid son of Zeus and glorious Semele. The rich-haired Nymphs received him in their bosoms from the lord his father and fostered and nurtured him carefully in the dells of Nysa, where by the will of his father he grew up in a sweet-smelling cave, being reckoned among the immortals. But when the goddesses had brought him up, a god oft hymned, then began he to wander continually through the woody coombes, thickly wreathed with ivy and laurel. And the Nymphs followed in his train with him for their leader; and the boundless forest was filled with their outcry. And so hail to you, Dionysus, god of abundant clusters! Grant that we may come again rejoicing to this season, and from that season onwards for many a year. / —Homeric Hymn to Dionysos.26.1–10 More Olympians / / / /

  • A cheeky, young Cambodian boy looks down through a floor. The house was on stilts and I had to lie down on the ground and shoot upwards to get this picture.

  • ahh to be a kid again!

  • A personal memory.

  • Here is another image taken today. To me, converse sneakers are the epitome of youth and they never seem to go out of fashion.. My parents wore them, I wore them and now my sons and daughter are already wearing them (by the way.. these were my pair of ‘connies’ which now my son is wearing). I just liked the way they portray youth and although each generation think they are better than the last; I think fundamentally they always stay the same.

  • Even at two years old, Lucy knows how to go for the kill. Of course, it doesn’t look like her little brother minds too much either. In a few years, we’re going to have to start keeping an eye on these two. At least we know they love each other.

  • Photo taken late afternoon as the sun was setting… hence the sunset shadows. Here’s my boy Kane doing what he loves most!! Skateboarding is almost an obsession for him. He skates at least 4 times a week either at the local school or at the local bowl with his Daddy (his Daddy is right back into Skateboarding after 15 years). At just 4 he can already push off and confidently ride a skateboard. And loves his Daddy to swing him from side to side standing on the deck inside the big skate bowls. / Quite Adorable. ◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘◘ Featured In Children Power of Raw Emotion Group / Featured in Colour Me A Rainbow Group / Featured in First Things Group / Featured in Outsiders Group / Featured in Family Unlimited Group FOURTH IN THE CHILDREN POWER OF RAW EMOTION CHALLENGE / .

  • “Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. (black and white ) This was taken with my 300mm Canon lense. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WINNER of the LIVE LOVE DREAM Feel the Emotion Challenge WINNER OF WEEKLY CHALLENGE WINNER OF THE children the power of raw emotion challenge ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ /
