This little kid plays in the Pitt Street Mall every weekend. His heart isn’t really in it I don’t think – he’d much rather be with his friends but he is there entertaining the masses. / His little bow tie and outfit gets the ladies cooing and opening their purses. This guy makes a fotune. This shot appealed to me – I like the view he gets.
Sold as a poster also. A creepy gift for any child, or a great gift for any adult child.
Here is another image taken today. To me, converse sneakers are the epitome of youth and they never seem to go out of fashion.. My parents wore them, I wore them and now my sons and daughter are already wearing them (by the way.. these were my pair of ‘connies’ which now my son is wearing). I just liked the way they portray youth and although each generation think they are better than the last; I think fundamentally they always stay the same.
Now I love astro boy and would never wish him dead! However skulls are cool and anyone who read the orginal manga would find more than a few episodes where astro wanted to be more human, so I’ve just taken that idea and sprinted with it down the road of artistic license. (at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!) plus as I said, skulls are cool! I’d love to unpack why they’re cool, but for now, just trust me!
This is the image I used for both the front and back cover of “Snow Man is my Friend.” It’s simple, but it’s kind of sweet at the same time. Wait. Did I just type, “It’s simple but it’s kind of sweet?” Who am I, Rachel Ray? This also marks the first drawing of the actual snow man from the book. No doubt some of you were thinking, “Why in the hell did he title a book Snow Man is My Friend if there isn’t a snow man in it?”
This is an old artwork of mine that was revamped to be a t-shirt design. You can check out my gallery and the original artwork at: www.kaav.deviantart.com

Acrylic on canvas board. One of my favourite paintings of Olly, it suits him and the music he makes as a member of Guildean Gang. Guildean Gang are, directly or indirectly, an inspiration for every single one of my pieces. Listen to them , and hopefully you’ll be inspired too! x

You’re always taking photos of me. I was visiting friends and taking lots of shots of their almost-five-year old and his newborn baby brother. He was a very willing subject, but I think by the time I took this photo the novelty of all the attention had worn off a little. But that meant I got more candid shots. I prefer real moments to self-conscious poses. Nikon D60 with Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens. June 2009. Featured in: / Children – The Power of Raw Emotion group. / Photography Fun group.
