  • a dream we once had.

  • 9 years ago when Daniel was born his mum and I gave him this teddy, one he soon learned to call “Mine” thanks to his light fingered older brother. Well poor old Mine is looking the worse for wear and we don’t know how long his well loved threads will remain together – this image is for Dan to remember the love for his bear in years to come. (If this image is sold the proceeds go to Dan’s pocket money.) Taken with Canon 5Dmk2 and 100mm f2 prime lense at f2.4 1/60 400 ISO in Manual mode, custom WB and single studio light. Unadjusted from camera.

  • This is literally how my children hug me. My eldest son presses his face into me and my youngest son just squeezes me. ..and yes do see myself like this. I almost hope the original doesn’t sell. My husband doesn’t feature in this work as I love him in a different way.

  • The sunset colours, / the setting of the sun indicating an end to the unfathomable 2009 fires of black Saturday. The tall trees with limbs represent the entire families taken, / the saplings the young lives cut short. The child represents our hope, / the single leaf the renewable nature of our botany. The single yellow ribbon, / those millions who gave from their hearts in everyway they could. To this child the leaf is salvation and from where she stands it is all she can see. Oil on Canvas / 120×90cm Original for Sale $950

  • With this image I cut out a guitar from a photo of my brother in law jamming on Easter 2007. I cleaned it up, put it through my filter gallery, added the poster edges effect, then I cloned some spots to darken some areas. I also added some shadow on the bottom of the guitar with my basic brushes (photoshop brushes). I then added swirls (photoshop brushes) and erased some parts of it. For the background I added angel wings (photoshop brushes) and put some style to them. I gave them somewhat of an invisible look so whatever color shirt you choose, the wings will be that color. I also added some hearts (photoshop brushes) because we all have that love for music. Underneath the guitar, I added some musical notes (photoshop brushes) to give it that nice touch. Then I said to myself, what the hell, I will add some splatter paint to it to give some extra color and for more of a playful look. For the colors, I altered the colors with my image adjustments. I fixed the contrast, added highlights, and made an auto color adjustment. This is my entry for the music machines challenge
