My dog Doobie again! When she was younger, she’d model anything I put her in & she’d sit in that lawn chair like a human until I said to get down! / When we used to live in a residential neighborhood, I’d set her up like this in the front yard & go in the house & watch from the window as people went by. It’s pretty funny to see the looks on peoples faces the first time they see a boxer in a bikini!! Don’t worry, I didn’t leave her like that for long & she loves the camera & the attention!!

My poor little girl. She’s was nearly 10; had osteoarthritis since she was 2. If you look carefully at this image you can just see her back twisted as she holds her painful back left leg up off the ground. She hopped around alot in these last days. This particular night she had heaved herself up off her bed and brought me this toy. If I threw it she would chase it and yelp. I had to place it gently and hope my boy boxer didn’t bundle in and nick it. Painted in Corel painter using wacom tablet. Photo used for reference .. Boxers are a bright, energetic and playful breed and tend to be very good with children. They are active dogs and require adequate exercise to prevent boredom-associated behaviors such as chewing or digging. Boxers have earned a slight reputation of being “headstrong”, which can be related to inappropriate obedience training. Owing to their intelligence and working breed characteristics, training based on corrections often has limited usefulness. Boxers, like other animals, respond much better to positive reinforcement techniques such as clicker training, which affords the dog an opportunity to think independently and to problem-solve. The Boxer by nature is not an aggressive or vicious breed, but it does need socialization. Boxers are generally patient with smaller dogs and puppies, but issues with larger adult dogs, especially those of the same sex, may occur. Boxers are generally more comfortable with companionship, in either human or canine form. behavior It would be a good thing to walk your Boxer every day even if he has a yard. Boxers are energetic and enjoy being active, playing games, and participating in activities like swimming, flyball, agility, tracking, and obedience. Thanks for looking :))

Molly (Yorkie) and Brooke (Boxer mix) play their “I’m meaner looking than you” game. But they are just playing and are actually very good buds. Brooke was no longer wanted by her original owners after she grew up. Molly was no longer wanted after she was late in her puppy stage. She was deemed as unacceptable for breeding. So both now live with us and our third rescue dog Oshie (shepherd mix), all of who are dearly loved, and will be forever. Nikon D200 w/ 18-70 mm zoom lens.

I took this RAW shot of Doobie this morning.. Until today, I haven’t been able to open any of my RAW files in photoshop. No one ever told me about card readers lol.. Anyway.. I bought one today & it worked, so I guess this would be considered HDR? lol.. I like this shot cause you can tell how soft her ears are! I’ve never pet a dog as soft as my Doobie girl!! Yesterday she had her biphosphanate treatment along with some acupuncture, so she’s feeling a little better, well.. actually a lot better right now as I just fed her some organic buffalo meat for dinner! She’ll be eating better than me for her last few months! / Cannon xsi 50 mm 1.4 lens

My new puppy, photographed the first day we brought him home. (2/25/09) His name is “Nikon” named after the used camera I traded for him. Nikon is a full blood Boxer with a beautiful brindle coat.
