This is Bowman Lake with Rainbow Peak in the background. I waited for hours for the fog to lift and when it did I was treated to this. The campground was closed and I had the whole place to myself.

An idea from 2001. Having defeated the Cyclops (HAL) and reached Jupiter, Dave Bowman launches into the monolith to reborn a demi-god with vast supernatural powers. He hovers over the planet, wondering what to do next.

The Conclusion As the witch Qunal’s ashes lay burning in the field, what was left of the rescue party found it bittersweet. The wicked witch was dead; no longer to bring death and destruction to the countryside of the Elves, but the endeavor took its toll. Many in the party were dead from the spells that were cast by the now deceased witch, but mostly the Huntress was gone the very person they wanted to rescue was dead. The Bowman asked again, “Whose arrow was it, which struck the witch’s heart?” “It looked like the same arrow that the Huntress used, it had her markings!” he exclaimed. As they pondered on the subject the Warrior and the Bowman looked toward the path that lead into the woods, they both gasped, for there before them was the image of the Huntress and her bird companion, as they both glared the Huntress gave a small nod and waved as the bird encircled her, then quickly as the Huntress appeared, she then disappeared into the morning mist. “What does this mean?” The Bowman questioned. Holding back her tears the Warrior said; so very softly, “It means that she will always be protecting and watching over us.” So as the morning light was coming up over the forest, they both knew that the quest was finally over. / Larry Fridel This is the final piece for the Huntress Series. Hikers stand at the very edge of the cliff at Bowman Bay on Fidalgo Island, Washington. Hope they don’t fall in!
An Island paradise, Bowman Bay is home to boaters, campers, tourists, kayakers and more. Located on Fidalgo Island, Washington in the Pacific Northwest, it is a favorite place for an afternoon of hiking.
A group of hikers seem to be throwing themselves into the ocean, just like lemmings. Actually, the’re just admiring the view of Bowman Bay on Fidalgo Island, Washington.

This is a photograph from the Bowman Exit of Interstate 80, looking east. I have ALWAYS loved this vista. But this shot doesn’t do it justice because the freeway’s view is 50% better and there’s no clear view from the frontage road. This is a location where the “cross hand shooting out the window” just won’t work: the camera needs to be situated on the passenger side of the van. But what you can see is 75 miles to the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the rolling foothills re-covered with green after massive fires. The dark areas move ever so slowly as the clouds pass and make this view change ever single minute. :-)

Neff’s Mill Covered Bridge or Bowman’s Mill Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that spans the Pequea Creek on the border between West Lampeter Township and Strasburg Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. A county-owned and maintained bridge, its official designation is the Pequea #7 Bridge. The bridge has a single span, wooden, double Burr arch trusses design with the addition of steel hanger rods. The deck is made from oak planks. It is painted red, the traditional color of Lancaster County covered bridges, on both the inside and outside. Both approaches to the bridge are painted in the traditional white color. It is purportedly the narrowest covered bridge in the county. The bridge’s WGCB Number is 38-36-22.
