There’s more ocean in fish than fish in the ocean… Nature is wise, but Mankind… just bumbling fools. Learn from the living, watch water in motion, Don’t waste your time staring at small stagnant pools. Fish are content to live their life in water, Water is after all their life’s element. There’s no need for them to be an “achiever,” Living, staying alive… that’s accomplishment. But there was one fish wanting something “better”, He wanted “achievement,” he wanted a “first.” He leapt out of water, fins in quick flutter, Taking fast to the sky… but soon died of thirst… / / Poem by Peter. First fish Freddy of the original Siamese Fighting Fish clan, blasts off in his bowl. His mission, to avenge the insults levelled at his earth cousins, by grumpy humanoids. Aggressive and down in the mouth, indeed! He would show them, the water in his bowl was adjusting for space flight, shimmering slightly as the shock wave passed and he entered orbit. Soon he would shut down the hyperlink wormhole drive, drift gently into suspended animation, and wait. He clutched his shoalshifter, armed with the latest IRBMs (inter-reef ballistic missiles) and smiled, not that anyone would have noticed. He drifted into a deep sleep, as his bowl iced over and sped towards earth… My offering in a three-way collaboration. ChrisW wrote the story, “Dinner With Fighting Fish” and will add a ref photo. If my image fits Chis’ concept, then master paintograher, Cliff Vestergaard, will weave his magic.

Model – Meluxine This is about as ghetto as studio-esque lighting gets. / It’s called daylight. / I know, weird hey. And it’s so cheap it’s scary. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas ps. if you happen to own/know of this ‘pasta’, I would strongly advise against trying to eat it. The model’s only just getting her taste buds back.

On a group photo shoot last night with six other members of the Mt Gambier and Limestone Coast camera Groups. Travelled to Carpenters Rocks and to the Lighthouse looking over Red Rock Bay. With an extremely low tide the green growth was exposed and created a bed of colour across the rocks. Canon 400D, 18 – 55 lens with Hoya CIR Polarising filter.
