I took this on the way home after a Christmas Concert by the Big Rock Singers and just had to share it right away. We have had a dump of six to eight inches of heavy wet snow lasting all day, causing me to shovel several driveways several times today. However, the absolute beauty of freshly fallen snow mixed with blue Christmas lights makes up for any of the day’s toils. Hope you like it.
This is a composite of three photos, a sculpture of the herd (by a local artist I am told), a close-up of just one of the horses, and a wagon in my sister’s yard.
This hanging tapestry was located in the Holiday Inn on King Street in Toronto, Ontario and was visually stunning.
This was taken at Sheep River Falls, Alberta when several kayakers came through. Some portaged around the falls. A couple of them made the jump.
He asks from under the bed..lol / This is our “blonde” fella “Pancho”. / He is a Devon Rex.
Caught this storm on the horizon on the way home tonight, just East of Okotoks, Alberta. It is reminiscent of some captures I have seen of hurricanes…. Hope none of our neighbors suffered any damage.
Another of my Kananaskis (foothills of the Rockies) shots. It was one of those days where every shot was gold-plated. / Minor exposure adjustment only.
Now this IS my desktop photo and is one of my favorites, obviously. / I just wish I had taken this at a higher resolution. / The Kananaskis is the foothills area of the Rockies southwest of Calgary Alberta. There is a wonderful road from Longview to Canmore which has some of the most spectacular and available scenery for shutterbugs. A sunny day is just a recipe for a wonderful day of photography.
Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed locations in the world located in Nova Scotia, Canada. This tiny inlet boasts some spectacular scenery including huge glacial rocks, a tiny village of 40 inhabitants, and particularly the lighthouse. / The crashing Atlantic Ocean surf on these lovely rocks is fabulous.
Re-work of an image removed previously. / Removed the darn tourist photographer who was in the shot, then darkened it a little. Hope you like it. Taken September 2007.
Taken from my living room window. Natural shot with contrast enhancement only.
Composite photo. Hope you like it. Taken east of Okotoks, Alberta
Managed to catch this gorgeous sunset on the Glenmore reservoir in Calgary with the sailboats anchored for the night.
Awesome member of Band On The Run who performed on our cruise ship this fall. / SC work.
Reworked photo previously removed. / Just increased the contrast to highlight the father and his 2 sons and the beautiful sunset on the Glenmore Reservoir. / I’ve always liked this shot and felt it deserved a better fate than its last showing.
This was the view that greeted me from my deckin Okotoks, Alberta in the early morning of Jan 9/09. I had to enhance it slightly in PS to bring the Rocky Mountains out of the haze, but it is pretty much the way I saw it. Hope you like it.
SC Remake of an earlier shot removed. / Taken at the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta. /
Remake of photo previously removed with a little SC work. / Barrel racer at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo Sept/07.
This is Alberta horse and cattle country in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Some PS work applied
Caught this horse in a pasture near Okotoks, Alberta, Canada against the sunset for a lovely silhouette tonight. / Somehow, a horse grazing in a pasture has the most calming effect on me and is the real reason I moved out of the city to be in the fresh air and slower pace of the country. / PS work
This building is part of a Bread & Breakfast location near Longview, Alberta. / It has this wonderful fireplace and a log bed. / Awesome place for a romantic get-together.
This beautiful shimmery horse is at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in New York City. / I redid this 3 times over about five hours before I got it right. Hope you like it! / SC work
My Niece, such a lovely young lady, hard at work cleaning the pots and pans for Christmas Dinner. / Negative of original shot. Hope you like the effect. / Thanks for looking in.
Taken from the window of a jet. The magnificent solitude of these huge snowy peaks always takes my breath away. / Minor contrast adjustment only.
