  • Now this IS my desktop photo and is one of my favorites, obviously. / I just wish I had taken this at a higher resolution. / The Kananaskis is the foothills area of the Rockies southwest of Calgary Alberta. There is a wonderful road from Longview to Canmore which has some of the most spectacular and available scenery for shutterbugs. A sunny day is just a recipe for a wonderful day of photography.

  • Peggy’s Cove is one of the most photographed locations in the world located in Nova Scotia, Canada. This tiny inlet boasts some spectacular scenery including huge glacial rocks, a tiny village of 40 inhabitants, and particularly the lighthouse. / The crashing Atlantic Ocean surf on these lovely rocks is fabulous.

  • Caught this storm on the horizon on the way home tonight, just East of Okotoks, Alberta. It is reminiscent of some captures I have seen of hurricanes…. Hope none of our neighbors suffered any damage.

  • Caught this horse in a pasture near Okotoks, Alberta, Canada against the sunset for a lovely silhouette tonight. / Somehow, a horse grazing in a pasture has the most calming effect on me and is the real reason I moved out of the city to be in the fresh air and slower pace of the country. / PS work

  • Managed to catch this gorgeous sunset on the Glenmore reservoir in Calgary with the sailboats anchored for the night.

  • This was taken at Sheep River Falls, Alberta when several kayakers came through. Some portaged around the falls. A couple of them made the jump.

  • This building is part of a Bread & Breakfast location near Longview, Alberta. / It has this wonderful fireplace and a log bed (and an outdoor biffy). / Awesome place for a romantic get-together. If interested email them at welcome_acres@yahoo.com

  • Awesome member of Band On The Run who performed on our cruise ship this fall. / SC work.

  • SC Remake of an earlier shot removed. / Taken at the Muttart Conservatory in Edmonton, Alberta. /

  • Reworked photo previously removed. / Just increased the contrast to highlight the father and his 2 sons and the beautiful sunset on the Glenmore Reservoir. / I’ve always liked this shot and felt it deserved a better fate than its last showing.

  • Taken from my living room window. Natural shot with contrast enhancement only.

  • He asks from under the bed..lol / This is our “blonde” fella “Pancho”. / He is a Devon Rex.

  • Another of my Kananaskis (foothills of the Rockies) shots. It was one of those days where every shot was gold-plated. / Minor exposure adjustment only.

  • Re-work of an image removed previously. / Removed the darn tourist photographer who was in the shot, then darkened it a little. Hope you like it. Taken September 2007.

  • This is a composite of three photos, a sculpture of the herd (by a local artist I am told), a close-up of just one of the horses, and a wagon in my sister’s yard.

  • Composite photo. Hope you like it. Taken east of Okotoks, Alberta

  • This hanging tapestry was located in the Holiday Inn on King Street in Toronto, Ontario and was visually stunning.

  • I took this on the way home after a Christmas Concert by the Big Rock Singers and just had to share it right away. We have had a dump of six to eight inches of heavy wet snow lasting all day, causing me to shovel several driveways several times today. However, the absolute beauty of freshly fallen snow mixed with blue Christmas lights makes up for any of the day’s toils. Hope you like it.

  • This was the view that greeted me from my deckin Okotoks, Alberta in the early morning of Jan 9/09. I had to enhance it slightly in PS to bring the Rocky Mountains out of the haze, but it is pretty much the way I saw it. Hope you like it.

  • Verona, Italy on a rainy day March 4/09. / The beauty of marble streets blew me away!!

  • I just love the muted but colorful tones on this shot taken through a wet bus window. Hope you like it too. This reminded me of a Renoir painting, The Umbrellas Thank you to The Human Condition and the I Love Italy groups for featuring this work!

  • This is the steeple of Santa Croce (Holy Cross) church in Assisi, Italy overlooking a beautiful green valley. This church was built in the 13th Century and is therefore older than our country!! / I could not believe my luck to get such a great vantage point. / Assisi was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and this is one of my favourite photos! / FEATURED in the I LOVE ITALY Group. Thank You.

  • This photo is titled Big Wheel 2 PE Several more photos are displayed below. This is an exhibition of photos taken in the Okotoks, Black Diamond and Longview areas of Alberta, most on August 23/09. / ——- I am SO frustrated that I must wait for 30 minutes to an hour for each large-size photo to upload, I have so many works I want to upload and I just can’t spend that amount of unproductive wait time on RB. So here is my cunning and evil plan: (drum roll please) / I am posting one main image but have several images below that ARE ALSO AVAILABLE if someone wishes to PURCHASE one. They are NOT posted individually. If interested, just Bubblemail me (or email me HERE ) and I will upload the large version for you at that time. We’ll see if this works or not… Thank you everyone. Feel free to comment on this idea, or any of the photos that capture your eye. Cheers, Al —-—-—-—- / Big Wheel 2 PE / Alberta Pano 2 / Prairie Scene 2 / Big Wheel 1 BW / Misty Rockies 1 / Alberta Pano 3 / Rustic / Alberta Pano 4 / Big Wheel 1 / Through The Fence / Alberta Pano 5 / Sad Belgian / Big Wheel 2 PE Yellow / Alberta Pano 6 / Big Wheel 2 PE Red / Alberta Pano 7 / The Big Rock (dumped by a glacier onto the prairie) / Big Wheel 3 BW / Misty Rockies 2 / Big Wheel 4 Yellow / Idyllic / Relic /

  • Taken August 17/07 at GlobalFest fireworks competition, Calgary, Alberta. Composite photo with moon shot.
