Every year, my brother Norm and my sister-in-law Jill, send me an order of Christmas flowers! And it is something I look forward to with great joy! There is something special about fresh flowers on the table at any time, but especially at Christmastime when sent with love and all the best Christmas wishes. / My brother lives in Nashville, Tennessee and moved there six years ago to be united with the love of his life. So although he doesn’t make it home to Canada for the holidays we still connect through these Christmas gestures, emails, telephone calls, and of course Christmas gift packages. / I thought I would share this lovely bouquet with all my RB friends that may also be seperated from loved ones at this time of year.

This one is about the connection we have with our loved ones, roses always speak volumes about beauty, love, romance…......and wanting to connect…...what happens we we give and receive roses, why do we give and receive them…..it’s really sentimental stuff…..ahh where would we be without all that roses say for us, through us, about us, to others :) I hope you like my “Sweet Rosie”.....these roses are for you :)

/ / Maid of Honour is usually a close friend or relative of the bride, who becomes her confidante and right hand help during the months leading up the wedding day and on the big day itself. I hope you like her. When my husband saw this, he said / she took my breath away. reminds me of the first time I saw you .breath takingly beautiful / it just doesn’t get better than that :) xx This started off as a pencil drawing I did a couple of months ago, I’ve since coloured her in digitally. Makes a nice thank you card from the bride, or just a pretty gift card or print for a girlfriend or your sweetheart.

Please View Larger / Baby-sitting my gorgeous little grand-daughter is always a delight, but moreso today, when she “assisted ” me in taking some photos. Now I don’t have much of a garden, but do have some lovely Camellias. Helping me arrange them she insisted – “now this one will be beautiful here” and “this one is way beautiful Nan – let’s put this one here”. Although, not yet six, Shakiya has already developed a passion for photography – a gift that I of course strongly encourage. Anyway, this is what we came up with. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did shooting it, as it comes with much joy from the heart. By the way – her name happens to be Shakiya Joy :o)) / /
