This image is for the Fred Hollows Foundation / A group of redbubblers have gotten behind this great cause and made a Calendar. It’s only $22 and I believe with the aid of some very generous people there will be $6 per calendar donated to the foundation! /
“O my Father, thou that dwellest / In the high and glorious place, / When shall I regain thy presence / And again behold thy face? / In thy holy habitation, / Did my spirit once reside? / In my first primeval childhood / Was I nurtured near thy side?” / / “For a wise and glorious purpose / Thou hast placed me here on earth / And withheld the recollection / Of my former friends and birth; / Yet ofttimes a secret something / Whispered, “You’re a stranger here,” / And I felt that I had wandered / From a more exalted sphere.” / / “I had learned to call thee Father, / Thru thy Spirit from on high, / But, until the key of knowledge / Was restored, I knew not why. / In the heav’ns are parents single? / No, the thought makes reason stare! / Truth is reason; truth eternal / Tells me I’ve a mother there.” “When I leave this frail existence, / When I lay this mortal by, / Father, Mother, may I meet you / In your royal courts on high? / Then, at length, when I’ve completed / All you sent me forth to do, / With your mutual approbation / Let me come and dwell with you.” “O My Father” is a Latter-day Saint (LDS or Mormon) hymn written by Eliza R. Snow
During his life he spoke of peace, love, kindness, questionable hygiene, killer sideburns, a joint for every citizen, and to never eat red meat. The irony is that after death he craves only the flesh of man…though his hygiene is pretty much the same as it always was. He’s the Hell bound Hippie and he’s coming to get you! (Very slowly of course…you know, because he’s high.)
/ / Another strange one, I’m afraid. Watercolour, chalk pastel, ink, conte on canvas, 20cm x 20cm. / /
was going through some old photos and came across this one, feeling a little braver so figured i would post it, took this shot (by mistake) when I was doing this ‘self portrait’ for the Fred Hollows Foundation / A group of redbubblers have gotten behind this great cause and made a Calendar. /

BEAUTY BOUND The reasons lie wherein some mysterious future path / Wherein our thoughts will come to bask / In that sun that light of some far distant path / Beyond night and day wherein a way / May find a ghost of mind to play / A game of wit a game of will that sits on yonder window sill / Of eyes of light that have no mind / Entwined in time of air and light / Beyond the fires burning bright You may say a golden will of that peculiar window sill: / Eyes of light, ears of mind soul of mine / Be beauty bound / To heavens of sky and earth till this I find I rest not will of need nor want / Till mercy be my silken petticoat / Of dark desire, of mercy kind until I find this life of mine / Of you , of me, of love, of hate, of riches of another state I come to bear on that mysterious state / that others cannot reiterate / Eyes of light, ears of mind, soul of mine / Be beauty bound. You may say a golden will that sits on yonder window sill / Be beauty bound Copyright 1980-2008 Helen Chierego
Repression keeps anxiety arousing impulses, feelings, and memories locked away in the unconscious depths of the mind. Are they bound away out of fear, or for healing?

Another self-portrait for my photography final, “Fragmented Self-Image”. I think the idea is pretty obvious…I used to have an eating disorder, I don’t any more, but the mentality that I need to stay thin and fit still remains and this is my interpretation of that. To post this alone takes me a lot of courage because I am still very, very uncomfortable with my body.
Captured as the Windeward Bound sailed up the Derwent River, Hobart, Tasmania. / This beautiful brigantine has become a National Icon and has been described as a National treasure. She has recently circumnavigated Australia emulating the discoveries and honouring the 1802 voyage of Matthew Flinders, whose logs and journals provide the earliest observations of many parts of the Australian coast. He recorded flora and fauna, as well as the many contacts with the indigenous Australians.
A little out of bounds framing created for a movement challenge…... Only to realise after uploading it, that the group is Nikon DSLR users group and this is an old Cannon shot scanned in from 35mm!! So it won’t be in a challenge but as it is here it might as well stay here!!!! Frame stock art from deviant art see here , background created on PSP, photo me.
