Well I finally have done what I have been wanting to do for a long time. I purchased a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI 10.1 MP. I have been wanting a full Digital SLR camera for a very long time. It is my very first one. I currently own the Canon Powershot S3 but it was limiting me way to much. / I also purchased a killer lens. / The Sigma Zoom Telephoto 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro Autofocus Lens So hopefully soon I will be uploading some new work. Sorry to say I have not bought the IR filter yet. / Also on Friday I am beginning my first class as a member of / The Cleveland Photographic Society Its a class that meets every week for learning and competitions. / Also do field trips. I would like to thank everyone on this site for inspiring me to get more involved with Photography.

I went to visit a camellia nursery this afternoon with NO intention of buying anything, it was just for a look to see what they had. I came across this one, the darkest red camellia I had EVER seen . . . needless to say, I bought it! (I also bought a miniature pure white one – I figured, If I’m going to get shot, it might as well be worth it!) It has dark red, shiny petals with lots of substance (thickness, body) and is a semi-double flower. To really appreciate the glossiness and thickness of it, click on the image to see the large size. Thanks for looking, I hope you like it as much as I do and understand why I absolutely HAD to buy it. All comments and criticisms are welcome.

I Bought This Shirt And All I Got Were These Stupid Pants

The phrase “I _ed the _ and all I got was this stupid shirt” is often accredited to Christopher Lazowsky, also known as my past best friend. You see, back in 1826, Chris and I rode Stonehenge over in the UK (yes, its a ride, not a ritualistic center, nor a alien landing site, nor a burial ground), and while he was in the restroom throwing up, I was buying a shirt with a picture of Stonehenge on it. I went to see how Chris was doing, and he replied “I rode Stonehenge and all I got out of it was some lousy puke.” I sarcasticly replied “I rode Stonehenge and all I got was this stupid shirt!” Thus, the idiom was born. Then, in 1827, Chris started his own “Stupid Shirt” Company and made millions. He made millions that should have been mine. Then, after everybody in the world had one of his Stupid Shirt shirts, he moved on to a new product, and started Microsoft under the name Bill Gates. And here I am, making shirts for an internet site while he’s living the high life.
