I love the website “Whatbird.com” because it not only describes each bird but also provides an audio clip of its song. The “song” of a hummingbird sounds more like the whirring of an engine or some kind of alien hovercraft than an actual song! We had quite a bit of rain last night and when I walked outside this morning, I was greeted by droplets glistening on the bottlebrush. They looked like Christmas decorations. Seventy shots later (don’t you just love digital photography?) I finally came back inside!
