  • A view of the Binnendieze river as it flows through and under the town of Den Bosch (or ’s Hertogenbosch). The river Dommel splits into many arms when it enters the old town of den bosch and is then known as the Dieze and BinnenDieze. Parts of it were used as the moats around the oldest city wall. During the middle ages the city grew out of its old wall and a need for space made people build their houses not only next to the river but also over the river. As the area became more and more impoverished and dirty, it was almost torn down in its entirety in the 1960’s. Luckely this was prevented and the area was renovated and lovingly restored instead. At the moment it is one of the best preserved medieval neighbourhoods in the netherlands (perhaps on par with the Berghkwartier in the city of Deventer)

  • Bosch meets Vonnegut in the Temple of Hooves. Together they swear fealty to the last Ceryneian Hind, beloved companion of the virgin Artemis, thus mitigating Fate’s tyranny, as the Goddess dials back from Golden Era Greek time coordinates to 30,053 B.C.E.; and hence, bids her minions render sacred images of ocher and charcoal on the cave walls of Cro-Magnon consciousness. autumn leaves / a flock of ewes driven / by the wind This tawny fractal-based digital painting is yours for a mere pittance (considering the broad scale of a failing economy), and will surely grace any vestibule, whether of slaughterhouse or dry ice emporium. • The Great White … I began working on a digital version of “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by / Hieronymus Bosch, though only a section of I felt it was a too larger undertaking and really said even anything new. So I thought how would Bosch have seen todays world? And strangely enough this was one of the inspirations… there maybe more to follow…

  • Huys ten Bosch, located in the Dutch town of Maarssen on the banks of the river Vecht, not only shares its name with the more well known castle of the queen of the Netherlands near the Hague; but also it’s architect; Jacob van Campen. The current Dutch Classicist look stems from 1628, although the building may still incorporate medieval parts. It was first mentioned in the 14th century. / / In the early 20th century it was bought by the town of Maarssen and used as the town hall. When this building became too small, the town hall was moved to the nearby Goudestijn Castle and the now completely delapitated building was sold again and lovingly restored by the new owner and the inhabitants of the castle.

  • The crossing tower of the cathedral of Den Bosch, the Netherlands. A Romanesque church used to stand on the spot where the St. John now resides. Its construction is thought to have started in 1220 and was finished in 1340. Around 1340, building began to extend the church, from which its current gothic style came. The transept and choir were finished in 1450. In 1505, the romanesque church was largely demolished, leaving only its tower. Construction of the gothic St. John was finished about the year 1525. In the year 1584, during a jubilant service celebrating the murder of protestant leader William of Orange, a fire broke out in the high wooden crossing tower, more majestic than the current one. Soon the whole tower was set ablaze, and it collapsed upon the cathedral itself, taking with it much of the roof up to point where the organ was situated. In 1830, another fire damaged the western tower, which was repaired by 1842. Underneath the clock tower there is a carillon. The clockwork can be found at the top of the Romanesque tower.
