This is another old photo I found amongst my parents albums and had some fun with in photoshop. This is my uncle! He loved his red boots. Such a cutey.

Tell me about your red boots. / These boots are made by Alannah Hill (who is not particularly one of my favourite designers but I fell in love with these boots at first sight!) I think they are just perfect! I love the colour, the brooch and the red ribbons. They are just so me! Unfortunately they are not the easiest heel to walk in so I don’t get to wear them too much, and I like to save them for special occasions so they have a bigger impact on the people who see / them! What’s the story behind you getting them? / Like all of my shoes, they were an impulse buy. I just can’t help but whip out my credit card when I see new shoes! My friend was working at the store where I purchased them at the time so I got them a little cheaper which helped sweeten the deal! So, why exactly do you love shoes so much? / I need one in every colour to go with my outfits, every style for different comfort levels, moods and seasons. Shoes to go with stockings and classic vintage heels that every girl must own! I can’t part with shoes, they have to be broken beyond repair or stolen from me. Boots
by Glen AllenImage inspired by Van Gogh’s early period. Started life as a straight still life of a pair of boots. I had been to the Van Gogh museum and wanted to do a tribute to the master himself. So I set about experimenting with various manipulation filters and programmes until lI discovered a little gem that allows me to turn my images into oil painting effects. Magic!

These Boots Were Made For Walking / Timberland Boots. An artist / photographer can find inspiration from everyday objects all around him. If we look at light and colour, shape and form, utility and presence, we’ll not go far wrong. Open your eyes and you’ll see artisitic opportunities all around you. Photo Manipulation For this image, I took several shots of the boots at different exposures, HDR in Photomatrix Pro, then some layering work in Elements with two seperate textures of wood. The floor is my hallway andthe boots belong to Junior, my Son-in-law. Copied the original background layer, did a colour overlay, blurred, then some dodging and burning and eraser work to reveal more of the boots through the textures. That’s it, simples really:-) LOL.
