Two Photo’s I merged together. I tried to bend the river photo by using a displacement map. this was unsatisfactory so i had to warp it using the liquefy filter. The water drops were added thanks to a tutorial on photoshop tv by Bert Monroy. Finaly. I used the burn tool to enhance the wet look of the pages. / I was disappointed that the drops on the left of the book seem to be hovering above the book, also I feel there are possibly too many drops. / Neil

I am a sap for romance… I like to be swept off my feet as they say. This shot is representation to me of what romance is. A sonnet by Mr. Shakespeare, ( 116), and a Jane Austen book ( Emma) and a rose( even if my favorite flower is a Daisy). / What can I say, I like to be romanced.

There was a time once when I decided to take a break from the brush and do some illustrations. / This was the result of one such session.. “The Fat Duck Cafe”. This is a journal from my youth, however not a traditional journal. I was a dreamer, a wannabe romantic. This was my place where I stored quotes, pictures, songs, writings of my own, anything that inspired or touched me. I came across it the other day and thought I might try photographing it. I realize the picture is a little cluttered, but that was my intent. I wanted to give it a feeling of being from the past… perhaps victorian, which everything in that era was beautifully cluttered. Then I burned the edges wanting to give it another effect of almost being lost, which it seems sometimes that my passion that I had was almost lost until recently. / Comments are welcome, as are any helpful advice.
