Cast light and careful shadows. It took 4 different shoots with the same concept to get the image that I wanted, but I think it was well worth it. Canon Rebel XT w/ 18-55mm kit lens.

Uploaded: 06/29/08 Media: Photograph Photo montage – The photos used here, were taken mostly in May 08. / Another chapter from My Book of Feathers / I see the Peacock as the most significant symbol, as where my REAL ART, Once started. True, that I always loved to draw as a kid, and even one of my painting back then, was sent to Jerusalem for an exhibition – ” Children of the World paint Jerusalem ” ... Yet, the inner main decision of becoming an artist was taken later in my life , around the time I was 18-20 years old. / Around that time, I made probably my first peacocks painting, that is still with me somewhere, it signifies for me, the real beginning of my painting. / Each feather of Peacock might seem similar, yet it is different. For the change, that is occurring each day, every single moment,in life, even if sometimes, we fail to notice it… Because It was always there written on a piece of feather, sealed with love. / Thanks for being with me, as part of the story of my life… / May it be long lasting, healthy, fulfilling and full with energies of LOVE. / Love YOU !! Story time is a special time for children. To this day, some 30 years later (shhhh) I still remember having those late night books read to me while I was nestled in the covers. What is that makes bedtime stories so magical? Is it the bonding? Or is it the world of fiction that you get to drift off into for the night? I think it’s all of it. As a kid, books give us the means to experience things that we are not even capable of dreaming at such a young age. Don’t let yourself forget the great bedtime stories you were told as a kid. And never forget to share them with your children. Books build character and enable the imagination to grow.

part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.

Inspired by the song The Days Of Pearly Spencer which was based on the story of a homeless man in Ballymena who was befriended by David McWilliams. The song reflected the writer’s deep humanity and his empathy with those who live on the margins of society. / Source Many thanks to Gregoryno6 who reminded me of this song last year, it’s been whirling around in my head since then. Tiffany knew that Mikey was playing her for a fool, stepping out with that jezebel from down the hall at number 3. She knew she should tell that lying, cheating scum that she was done with him – give him back his dime store ring and catch the first bus back to Virginia. Of course, she couldn’t. She was a slave to her heart… her careless, careless heart. Inspiration for this piece Well, I got sick and tired of working with models who turned up late (if they turned up at all), who couldn’t follow direction worth a damn, and demanded a private change room with a bowl full of M&M’s – but only red ones mind!! So I figured I would find me some models who were always available, any time of the day or night, who were never precious and cost me peanuts! Ok… so the above is a total lie ;) / I recently saw the work of this fabulous artist who cuts out images from book covers and then carefully folds them to create 3D dioramas and just knew I had to try it for myself. Now I am addicted! What a wonderful way to tell a story…. If anyone has any pulp fiction novels from the 1940’s to 1960 just collecting dust, or hidden away in a box being chewed on by rats, that you wouldn’t mind parting with PLEASE contact me.
