  • This was a shot that I took of a bird that is known as a Booby Bird as it fleww over my head on the deck of a cruise ship that I was on. I had my camera set on the sports mode to try to capture it better.

  • A brown booby bird chick in his/her cliff top nest area, Christmas Island, Indian Ocean Territories, Australia. The chick is about a foot high with fluffy down feathers and light green coloured feet. At this age, the chicks are taller than their parents – The down feathers add height. He/she waits on the cliff top for the parent bird to return from a days fishing, and then dinner is served! The nest area is 20 square metres, packed with grasses, and bounded by sharp jagged rocks covered by grass. Taken with Canon 5d & 24-105mm lens @ f16, ISO 200, 1/600th sec, handheld, as is.

  • This artwork was originally a painting i created, 75×100cm, although she had light brown hair and was no where near as smoky as this little hussybag!!! I jazzed up her photo in photoshop and she came out like this. One of my favourite pieces of artwork i’ve ever created, although i do wish i painted her like this in the first place, just so she could hang on my wall and remind me that i really do love to paint.

  • A deadly booby trap set by the Yhengh. Ther is a lighter version that works on Air Pressure known as a Pnematic Punj. These are light enough to be used as a melee weapon if the need arises. The Hydraulic Punji’s big brother is the Hydro-Pneumatic Punji, Which can penetrate the underside of an Armoured Car. This pit would be covered with a Molecular Scan Proof Mat and then lightly coated in local foliage.
