Found this adorable little flower in amongst mum’s strawberries. Apparently their real name is Colombine, but I like Granny’s Bonnet much better…
Another from my experimentation with high ISO. / Canon 400D 100mm 2.8 – FL 100 F Stop 2.8 Exp1/3200 Manual / ISO 1600 / It’s another grainy image-because of the high ISO but I love the extra vibrance that it provides. /

Straw hats with colorful ribbons gently blowing in the breeze in Williamsburg, VA. Used some of my favorite post proceesing steps which include the Redfield Fractiluis filter, and the dodge & burn technique. Image was made with the Nikon D200.

The extremely elegant Demoiselle Crane (anthropoides virgo) has got to be one of the classiest waders in the bird world. I just love the tasteful and understated hairdo that both males and females sport. Don’t be surprised if you find me stalking one in the hope of that lonnnnnnng feather moulting… Canon EOS 50D with Canon EF 400mm L f/5.6 handheld
A Rancher outside of Bellville Texas was nice enough to open his field to people who wanted to take pictures in the Blue Bonnets. As long as we minded the cows. I found a baby cow that could not have been but a few days old sleeping and had to capture him. He was hiding in the flowers!
I just Loved this shot I have always had a things for little girls and Big hats = ) Just looks so precious to me.
I love war bonnets. If I owned one - a real one - I think I’d wear it nonstop around the house. In my pajamas, knitting on the sofa, doing laundry, walking the dog. materials: pencil on bristol + PS7 / music: Dan Auerbach, “Heartbroken, In Disrepair”
Abandoned old car at the Gold Battery museum in Paynes Find, settlement located 450 km northeast of Perth, Western Australia. Captured with Nikon D300.
Chrome and highly polished metal are a simple lodestone for photographers. This beautifully maintained MG was parked under Princes Bridge a few months ago and the afternoon sunlight was just perfect for a tight frame showing the distinctive grille, lights and bumper bars. I was also intrigued by the way the light shimmied across sections of the hand-crafted metal, creating reflections of different intensity. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7, 1/180 sec, ISO 200, focal length 75mm. Featured in UNIVERSAL INNOVATION, August 2009. Featured in 60s GLORY, November 2009. This is an iris that was in my front yard this year after a rainshower.
