Inspired by the Showbread Song “Dinosaur Bones” My bones don’t click in place when I sit on the machine / Not as of late do I integrate, scarcely say what I mean / This thing was built with one of my ribs / I was there when it was given a name / But I’ve been overpowered by those who took it away / It doesn’t even look the same / Those hired in to intervene and supervise it’s size / Do plot against the weakened will before the weak ones realize / I found it’s bones in my backyard, I put them on display / I set it up with leering eyes and gave it a voice to say: “I am just the voice of one who’s greater than this / but I am still a sacred voice, I will not be dismissed” The bones still look out on my yard / Though the pieces are taken apart / They paint it colors I can’t stand but they will not touch it’s heart / They stick tacky ornaments on it and they sell it to the kids / I can barely stand to see it now / But there’s still a voice in it / When I answer to the one who gave the bones to me / I want to say I cared for them, and say it honestly / Those closest to me take it away and twist it out of shape / But the voice within still rattles the bones / The voice still resonates

During a quick day trip to Nelson, Nevada SeptemberSky & I had the opportunity of good weather despite the approaching Winter Snow Storm scheduled to arrive the morning of my birthday. / The shots came out rather well in terms of available light. / Nelson is a small mining town from the 1800’s. This is the skull of a Big Horn Ram which I found in an old barn we were visiting, I was very intrigued by it!... / (Title by: “The Awesome Ryser915!”) Shot with my Canon 20D and a Tamron 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6 Wideangle lens & a B+W Circular Polarized filter. ©2005-2009 Indigoverse Photography. Recently in my Body Art work, I have realized that Tribal Tattoos have enjoyed a rejuvenation. The tribal style of tattoos comes from the older tribes such as the Celtics (Ireland, Scotland, & Wales), Maori Tribe (indigenous people of Brand-new Zealand), The Haida Tribe (indigenous people along the west coast of North America), the Marquesan (Polynesian inhabitants of the Marquises Islands) and the tribes of Borneo. The Maori tribes migrated from Eastern Polynesia around 800 to 1300 AD and were the initial settlers in Advances Zealand. They developed their own language. The Maori were described as a furious and glorious warrior race. Native Americans used bone chisels for tattooing to denote rank, abundance, tribe affiliation, family, role in world and deeds of bravery.

Before every shoot I make sure I’ve had a shave, a haircut and my phalanges manicured. In this dog-eat-bone industry, you have to maintain a meticulous appearance! This is my assistant Bruce, giving me a last-minute touch up before our ‘Pushing Up Daisies’ series.
I felt a little self-conscious about this shot, but elrobbo suggested that I put this in my portfolio. / Hope you like it!
A small portfolio of Bob Bones.
