Is she saying hello or saying goodbye? This gorgeous blue eyed beauty has a well-crafted paper aeroplane circling her. Whether it’s about to land or about to take-off is anyone’s guess. This piece reminds me of all those teary airport hellos and farewells of my 20s! ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... This is my brother. We were on a trip in Lutsen, MN in this picture and were on Lake Superior. So as he played guitar (or at least tried), I played around with different exposures, contrasts, black lighting etc. Plus I got him to stay perfectly still for about 5 seconds :) which is sometimes hard to do. This style is a first for me, its experimental! :D FEATURED! in / Night Photography / Experimental / 1620

One of which is the train bridge shown here. I traipsed across the river one afternoon just before sunset and captured this image from the Indiana side of the river at just the right moment to have the red and orange glow of the sunset radiate throughout the photo. I had no idea that a train would be crossing right at that time, but it certainly made for a nice addition! This is a photo of my Jack Russell named Skye. / After loosing my Yorkie , who had been my constant companion for 13 yrs, my husband surpised me by taking me to the dog rescue. It was just a couple of days before Christmas. When we looked through the cages, there sat Skye looking so sad and depressed. I told my husband that she was the one. We inquired about her and they said she wasn’t up for adoption yet. They needed to give the owners time for claiming her. They also told me that many people had inquired about her and when she did go up for adoption there would be a drawing of names to see who would get her. I prayed about it and felt like this was the dog for me and that I didn’t have to worry. Sure enough, the day after Christmas, she did go up for adoption and it was my name that was drawn from the “hat”. Now I have another “constant companion” and wouldn’t know how to get along without her.
Bon Appetit (self-portrait) / 8” x 10” Acrylic . / Sushi was definitely part of this inspiration. / . / .
Shot this with my Canon Rebel XT, 18-55 mm lens in natural light from a window. Cropped in closer than original version to give more focus to the dog and pie. Painted the photo with Corel Painter Essentials 4, thick paint, a selection of different brushes such as tapered camel, captured bistle. The model is my faithful sidekick, Skye. We adopter her from the local rescue shelter, the day after Christmas a few years ago. She has been faithfully at my side ever since! :) / Skye is a Jack Russell terrier female.
