fORMaTiNG YOuR TeXt I havent been having too much fun gettin my text written in RB the way i am used to.. formatting that is.. ive had my text cancelled out like this when i put the ”-” symbol between letters – i try and remember not to do that again. Only just now i found another one.. So i thought to self, that i’d better write all these down here in the journal – for future reference : NEW PARAGRAPHS / Press ENTER twice and that will give you a new paragraph automatically. WHEN ON EACH END OF WORD/TEXT : / eg: * bold * (without spaces) symbol * = bolds / / symbol _ = italic symbol ^ = small upper / / symbol – = cancels you out! symbol ~ = makes text smaller / / symbol + = Underlines the text symbol * * * = makes a horizontal rule/line without the spaces / -found by KSERIPHYN_ TO MAKE TEXT CLICKABLE (INTO URL) Put quotation symbols ” ” on each side of the word/sentence you want to make into Links/Clickable and then a COLON (no spaces) straight after, plus the url ; http:// EXAMPLE (i’ve added spaces in between the symbols so that you can see the text – but NO SPACES ” This tip was found whilst reading PDUV’s journal ” : http://www.redbubble.com/people/pduv/journal/show/4812 becomes : This tip was found whilst reading PDUV’s journal TO ADD GRAPHICS INTO YOUR JOURNAL / PLEASE DON’T PUT HUGE PIX, RESIZE/UTILIZE PLACES LIKE IMAGESHACK free image hosting EXAMPLE : (i’ve added spaces in between the symbols so that you can see the text – but NO SPACES) ! http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/6817/formatingrbct6.gif ! becomes TIP : You can do save that gif cheat sheet if you want ;) ADDING GRAPHIC & MAKING IT CLICKABLE (LINKED) / for larger pics you want to show, its a good idea to post the Thumbnail size, / and making the graphic clickable to a larger size. My intention when I did this painting was to take an everyday situation – like looking out for the post-man and turning it into a vibrant and alive moment in time! / No matter how small and trivial things may seem – there is always something else going on: one just has to take a look at that poor fish! I lik this painting, my friends say it makes them feel like ”...putting on their dancing shoes!” / (It’s a frustrating fact, but for some reason this painting just won’t upload to the right proportions – it’s living it’s title to the full – and just NOT conforming!) Adoption is an option, it should be considered. / What also should be considered are the cases / in which abortion should be allowed such as / rape or incest. It should not be that easy to / take a human life legally. Research has proven that a fetus can move away / from poisons injected into the uterus as early as / 6 weeks from conception. These are my opinions and I know this / is a touchy subject, but I do believe in the first / amendment and I put it to great use. Adding lists of categories to your profile or descriptions:- The first, and most important thing you need to do is tag your work, making sure the tags are relevant. People search for subjects, colours, locations…all sorts of things! When you are tagging for your categories, make sure you use categories that are going to make sense to you. My seascape tag is “beach” and I’ll add it to all my seascapes. When doing a category link, it’s just a matter of bringing them all together using this url http://www.redbubble.com/people/melbrackstone/art/everything/tags/beach For your own categories, of course, you change melbrackstone to your own nick/or name….and if it’s t-shirts or writing you might need to change those words too…just check out the results by pasting it into your browser. Then we come back to making a link. Using the quotes around your title – “Seascapes” then a colon : and then the url, the link will look like this Seascapes There are no spaces between the quotes, colon or url….. get to it everyone, tag and categorise your work!! Bullet list them with the hash key, and a space….
