From the 2007 floriade in Canberra. Shot with with a big big macro – 400 f/2.8IS with 2x TC – the people looking on were a little bewildered at the sight.

A Sago Palm is not a particularly pleasant plant to look at, but the spring fronds when shot with a macro take you into a magical world. Finally I got out amongst the autumn trees today with two of my photography students. Plus I had a little time myself to shoot some of the trees in Yoyogi Park on what was a beautiful day with gorgeous light. This pic is currently in the ‘Zen’ competition at JPEG magazine.
