This was captured after a rain storm, while we were on holidays at Lorne. The sky lit up as though it was on fire, with the clouds reflecting the late afternoon sun and the resulting water lying on the pier also mirrored the sky and the couta boat, docked there.

The artists are / With the blessed curse to be beyond what is safe Suffering nothing / And sharing hungry moments somehow satisfied But a ship at sea we are / And the storms will come and be Being Alive / As the rocks catch flesh falling To feed you to the bellies of life / They are all here waiting to choose upon the carnage Or else, the bacteria you are will come to get you / Nothing is clean Especially the most pristine holy truths’ polished / And shined daily with rags of fearful hopes in hiding Buying predators are known here as the civilized people / Holding no mirrors lest the glass reflects outward Save the art works created so fine here by the lone artists ignored / Whose bones and blood are now here scraped off the street The Wall Street express bus speeding did not see the artist crossing / The Brokers on board had only moment before the starting bell … A good thing / The masterpiece was unharmed and there is no will The auctioneers decide not to say / The price they paid Yet the creation of arts’ fall goes on and on / Long … As the breathing lasts © Copyright 1/11/2008 C.C. View of weather building over the island of Jura on the West Coast of Scotland. The photograph was taken looking west towards here Nikon D200, 18-200mm
This Coota boat had broken away from it’s moorings and washed towards shore, it was approx five metres out, I took off my shoes and sox, rolled my slacks up as far as I could and walked into the water. I wanted to take the photograph with the afternoon sun shining on the side of the boat, I waited until a wave broke across the stern and Clicked. The sea came up to my waist and here I was wearing beautiful Italian Designer slacks and holding my best Leica camera above my head hoping I would’t fall into the water. I was thrilled with results when I picked them up 3 days later from the lab, the camera survived and slacks were dry cleaned ha ha. I had the shot which is in my top three favourites. SHOULD DEFINITELY BE VIEWED LARGE! THIS PIECE IS AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE AS A: / • Card / • Canvas Print / • Framed Print / • Laminated Print / • Matted Print / • Mounted Print Rock

Wind Dancer- a poem by Miss Jordan 9 years old Out there on the deep blue sea / Not far from the island of Anglessey / In the fog shrouding the boat / Wind Dancer sails gracefully afloat The coast is not very far away / Soon she will dock in the bay / Out there sails the Wind Dancer / The mighty boat, the wave prancer
Sailing boat that ran aground at Carpenters Rocks, Limestone Coast, South East South Australia. Went on a group photoshoot last night, seven of us out in the weather….. This boat is only visible like this on extremely low tides just East of the lighthouse at Carpenters. Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, polarising filter, HDR 3 shot merge in Photomatix.

Acrylic on heavy rough watercolor paper. Size: 12” x 18” This was painted at least 25 years ago / .....done quickly and loosely / ( not my usual style ) / ......one of a passel I did for a restaurant chain. I really want to see what it looks like as a card, etc….
It rained all day but the sun made a late appearance on this moody Vancouver day. The evening light on False Creek can be just stunning.
The calm waters show no sign of an approaching storm. Photo taken at Guiuan Eastern Samar, Philippines. Combined two raw files and used photomatix and CS3 to produce HDR.
First storm to hit the area in over 6 months, I was so excited!! Straight to my chosen spot and took hundreds of shots, just waiting for that moment. The sky was so extreme, there was no wind, no rain, just the crazy clouds, and lightning! The rain of course was close, but I managed to get this before it started to pour :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. the boat is the same subject in River Living and I was very thankful it was still for this to work. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available large, and best viewed large! :)
Featured in Dimensions and Shots in the Fog 7:00 AM at Bedwell Harbour on Pender Island, British Columbia, Canada, following a thunder storm during the night. Nikon D300 and Nikkor 18-200 mm f3.5-5.6 DX lens at 48.0 mm.
As most of you know now, the East Coast of Australia was covered by a thick blanket of desert dust, was actually top soil, dried out by the severe drought conditions of the past several months in outback New South Wales. Thousands of tonnes of valuable top soil, out to sea. Didn’t hit the Sunshine Coast of Queensland till about 12 mid-day on the Wednesday, 23rd September, 2009. Was amazing, one minute it’s clear, then you can’t see anything about 500 metres away.. The sky was glowing orange, and the sun looked like the moon! In this shot, I managed to capture an eagle, soaring very low, as they hunted in the dusty conditions. The wind was also strong, and these beautiful birds could do their entire hunt without beating a wing! I hope you enjoy this shot, I know there is millions of shots out there of this event, and it probably will not happen again for many many years.. Canon 50D, 17mm. No filters or colour adjustment to this shot. this is as it looked, creepy! Available Large and best viewed Large!
featured in the ALL ABOUT BOATING group October 22nd, 2009 As the storm was rolling in at Lough Mask, this little boat was lit beautifully by a small opening in the clouds. Lucky me for being at the right spot! Picture taken at Lough Mask, co. Mayo, Ireland PP: Contrast and a bit of burn and dodge.
Into the eye ‘o the storm’ / “As we sail through life’s stormy waters / buffeted and blown, tossed and torn / feeling as though there is no quarter / so onward brave lil’ sailor each morn’ / for the storms will pass with the season / guide your ship safely thru’ the sqall / remember we are here for a reason / keep your mast proud upright and tall”. by V.Kelly. / about 11-30pm…..
