views: 4957 / favs: 22 My origami calendar A sailboat folded out of a 6×10mm piece of paper rowing along the lifeline in my palm. Wow I didn’t realize my hand had all these lines :P. I didn’t turn this into a black and white this time because I managed to get a cool light on my hand (natural light) to make it more waterlike. The flow of life is parrallel to a journey off the land. It begins smooth, then the waves of adulthood brings high tides which we must overcome, However at the end of the ride, everything is smooth again. Ironically the lifeline in my palm depicts this flow; it begins smooth, then there is a big split and begin to ruffle, but towards the end it comes back together again. This concept was originally generated and uploaded in May 2008, but I bought a tripod later on and re-shot this on September 2, 2009 using the timer on my camera (an Olympus FE-340), and replaced the image alone. Not very different from the one uploaded before except this one is clearer. Taken on the Lake of Two Mountains, Quebec in the village of Oka on Monday June 9/08. This is just past the public docks and ferry system looking towards the west at the marina. The sun was starting to descend and cast a rosy glow on the water. Featured in the My Neighborhood group February 1st 2009 / Featured in Stillness Speaks group.

In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Mindscape is a mental or psychological scene or area of the imagination. The word is most suitable to the filed of psychology. Mindscape has two words combined in such a way that the meaning goes beyond it – Mind and Escape… It can be translated as a Mind that wants to escape or a Mind that is in route of escaping. This adventure can be in the sense of reality or in spiritual world. / Depression sufferers escape from facts, hallucinates escape from reality, psychotics and neurotics escape from many other forms of life. We usually state that they are people who require help so that they can live an ordinary life. But who is to decide what is normal and what is abnormal? If ones can see the other side of horizon, according to them they deem the facts strongly that they hold about life, oneself and reality. They believe they are the right ones who are amongst wrong people. Are you one of them? I tend to assume we all are, one way or another. I am a person who loves to travel – especially to France. I love water and I love the stillness at the end of the day. Honfleur is one of my favourite spots in France – this harbour is a photographer’s dream located on the northern coast in Normandy. My husband and I visit this beautiful town every time we travel to France and love to explore the fascinating streets filled with a variety of art galleries, jewellery stores, craft shops and boutiques. / I ordered a canvas print of this from RedBubble and it is my favourite piece of art on my walls! Original image shot at midnight at San Diego Harbor just before leaving for a group deep sea fishing trip. There was a full moon behind the clouds creating a highlighted area – almost night to day. Shot a long exposure with existing light on a tripod. Post processed as a digital painting with layer overlays composited in Photoshop using various filters and the Orton Effect.
