This yellow dory was tied to the wharf for the winter. The boat launch had quite a steep angle to it… you can see the ocean far below, so the dory was secured with these blue ropes.I loved the contrast between the yellow boat and the blue ropes holding it securely. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / laminated print / /

A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip.While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home.That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy.They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river.The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

Poets Cove, Pender Island (Gulf Islands), Canada / March, 2008 Taken during a beautiful weekend away at Poets Cove, Pender Island – part of the Gulf Islands just a hop, skip and a boat plane away from Vancouver… well there is an interesting story attached to that hop, skip and boat plane ride… another time! A perfect time had at a perfect location… one I would recommend to anyone.

I was in Laguna Beach, California when the sun was setting. It gave me this lovely golden sunset which I decided to call Day’s End. This one was taken by a ferry that was hauling cars. Every ship of any significant size comming through ‘the rip’ entrance to Melbourne’s bay takes on board a pilot, these brave folks go out in any weather, come along side big ships and then climb a ladder to go aboard. Tough gig ! This day would have been pretty nice though !
