The calm waters of the Clyde River at Batemans Bay, NSW, Australia. A lone figure sits looking out over the Bay with the Boat Shed, wharf and moored boats in the background.
As I sit at my computer, this is the view I see from my window, always something happening. On the right is the rig, digging out and deepening the harbour, another bigger one operates to the right. On the left is the Marina and beyond the Shetland Catch fishery. Beyond past the harbour entrance you can just make out the island of Whalsay and beyond further are the Skerries, not a bad view and yet I am considering a move back South; am I barmy or what.

This is a panoramic shot I took while on holiday up at sisters beach
This beautiful little fishing village is located just off the Ring of Kerry and is the gateway to Valentia Island. This Photograph was taken early on a September Morning.
There’s something a little odd about this pic. Surf boats are normally separated from the rest of the events at a surf carnival. But such was the ferocity of the surf on Sunday 1 Feb 2009 at Fairhaven beach, that many boat races ended in carnage with boats, oars and crew swept down the beach. Exciting to watch…

Cold sunrise in Helsinki.
No doubt about it, Lorne is a beautiful setting for a surf carnival….
Another view of the iconic beach on the Great Ocean Road, site of the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club’s annual surf carnival.
Lorne’s beach came alive for the surf carnival. The dark sky has nothing to do with the weather… It was like that because of the smokey haze from the bushfires north and west of Melbourne.
Norway landscape panorama, fjord and mountains in the background
Six minutes past eight in the morning and everyone was rugged up. Cold, wet and windy at Ocean Grove for the Vic State Titles. Later in the morning the sun broke through and for a while there it was pretty fine.
