  • Sunset at Ao Nang, Krabi province, Thailand.

  • Lowtide on phi phi island

  • Longtail boats at Koh Gai (Chicken Island), Krabi, Thailand. I didn’t even notice the name of the boat when the shot was taken. I like it though.

  • A long lens and a little patience rewarded me with a silhouetted fishing boat with a large glowing sun in the background. This was taken at Bang Sare. One of my favourite sunset locations. I used to go there often when I lived in Bangkok but it is many hundreds of kilometres from where I live now. • A row of fishing boats, still water and a beautiful blue sky provide a superb scene for a peaceful image. I took this about 4 years back and am still always drawn to it. • Off the coast at Krabi, three small islands are interconnected by a sand spit that runs between them. The island to the left here is Koh Gai (Chicken Island). It is called this due to a large rock pillar, on it’s far side, which looks just like a chicken’s head.

  • The fishing boat is dwarfed by the setting sun as it heads home to harbour at Sattathip. Thank you to whoever purchased this image in a large laminated print format :<)

  • The beautiful Phi Phi.

  • Amazing morning in Samui. Firstly watched the moonset and then turned my back and watched the moonrise…all from a gorgeous beach location. Amazing how quickly the time went. I loved this little boat, full of character. Early on the shutter was too slow to include it in my compositions, but as soon as there was more light I took the opportunity to photograph this little fishing boat. Photo Taken: 04-Jan-2007 / Time: Early, around 6am / Conditions: Calm, really beautiful   /   /   /   /   /   /   /   Some other samui art: / /   /   / /   /   /

  • During my time in Thailand.

  • A perfect sunset over Thailand’s Railay Beach. This serene moment was momentarily interrupted by the loud thumping gurgle of an approaching Long Tail’s rickety diesel motor (a sound that I actually grew to love). The approaching Long Tail boat provided me with a lovely photographic opportunity as it putted towards the beach. What a perfect day. A perfect gift – Framed Print of Sunset Over Railay Beach: [Creative Effects: NONE]

  • One of the features of some of the beaches and islands around Krabi, Thailand.

  • My Long Tail boat..on another island around the fabulous South of Thailand :)) Image description speaks for itself.. One day…I ‘ll go back … Thankyou to Catherine Veal for describing this image as wonderfully as this :- Shangri-La is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel Lost Horizon by British author James Hilton. In the book, “Shangri-La” is a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the western end of the Kunlun Mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise but particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia—a permanently happy land, isolated from the outside world. In the novel Lost Horizon, the people who live at Shangri-La are almost immortal, living years beyond the normal lifespan. The word also evokes the imagery of exoticism of the Orient.*

  • Koh Lipe, Satun, Thailand

  • Featured in Exotic Thailand Koh Samui Thailand

  • taken in Thailand November 2008. some pretty hefty weather came in pretty quick. thankfully, this little longtail boat was moving just a little quicker. view large for full effect.
