A very nice place to pop the question…
Jensen Beach fishing pier illuminated and silhouetted by island bridge in the background.
Just one of those things with me since I don’t smoke, I just like piers.
Darkness always is followed by light, really.
Indian River Drive, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 7 am Sept 17th, where were you?
Sometimes I wish boaters who come out early, could just launch their boats without disturbing the peace while they’re at it. But you can’t help but laugh at how clumsy some of them are just trying to clear the launch…..LOL
Sailing boat at Lake Neusiedl / Austria
This weekend I did something very very silly…. / I took my new camera on a jet ski in a plastic container (i.e not waterproof housing) and got some snaps of Port Phillip Bay. We only nearly fell of the jet ski, hmmm…. repeatedly. I hope it was worth it! Thanks to my Jetski driver and all round relaxing company James

When I am an old horsewoman / I shall wear turquoise and diamonds, / And a straw hat that doesn’t suit me / And I shall spend my social security on / white wine and carrots, / And sit in my alleyway of my barn / And listen to my horses breathe. I will sneak out in the middle of a summer night / And ride the old bay gelding, / Across the moonstruck meadow / If my old bones will allow / And when people come to call, I will smile and nod / As I walk past the gardens to the barn / and show instead the flowers growing / inside stalls fresh-lined with straw. I will shovel and sweat and wear hay in my hair / as if it were a jewel / And I will be an embarrassment to all / Who will not yet have found the peace in being free / to have a horse as a best friend / A friend who waits at midnight hour / With muzzle and nicker and patient eyes / For the kind of woman I will be / When I am old.
Last summer I spent living on a boat in the North Pacific on the north west side of The Queen Charlotte Islands in Canada. (left is Graham Islans & right is Hippa) I can’t describe it and I’m one to go on about things. Living with the same 8 people in isolation for 120 days… you need to get away. I spent a lot of time in the kayak. I had never done it before and I fell in love. I kayaked in the ocean. Curious seals befriended me from their cautious distance of about 4 feet. Watching sunsets floating in the middle of nowhere is a priceless experience & I’d often pass up warn dinner to be out there. I quite liked the name of the little plastic vessel. ‘Perception’. That’s what it’s all about for me. this photo is not selective colour edited. it is a full colour photograph. shot with my Canon Rebel XT (that’s x-tra trout, baby!) Look! my very own motivational poster! Coming soon to a gloomy office near you! /
Kayaker off the coast at Larrabee State Park. View out across Bellingham Bay at the Lummi Islands, from Larrabee State Park, a state park in Washington, located six miles (10 km) south of the city of Bellingham. It was the first state park to be created in Washington. Larrabee State Park had its beginnings in 1915, when the Larrabee family donated 20 acres of land to the state with the intent that it be made into a park. In 1923, the new park was officially named after Charles Xavier Larrabee. Shot this with my Panasonic point and shoot camera.
