An old wooden fishing boat sits on the shore of Burwash lake in western Yukon Territory in complete dereliction. Years of use and the brutal weather has began to chip away at the many layers of paint. Burwash, YT, Canada October 2007

Eastpoint, Florida, USA, is the real deal. Fishing is the town’s lifeblood, though it’s getting hard to make a living that way. They take these boats out onto Apalachee Bay almost every day, using long tongs to pluck the oysters off the bottom. Local restaurants and markets sell the oysters fresh. This was taken early on a Sunday morning. The boats are still in twilight as the first rays of the sun start breaking into the sky. Other than the shimmering of the water, a lone seagull provides the only action. “Eastpoint At Dawn” / —Featured in the group “Florida the Sunshine State” / -Featured in the group “Harbour Life” / —WInner of monthly avatar challenge in the “Harbour Life” group. Watercolor painting on Arches 12” x 16” cold pressed 140lb paper Typical early morning scene on Walkers Lake, just west of Schreiber Ontario on the north shore of Lake Superior. The dew sparkles on the leaves as the sun’s rays slowly warm the air, evaporating the mist. The gentle lapping of the water against the side of his aluminum boat welcomes the early rising fisherman to this northern paradise.

While in Rhosili, Wales I took a few shots of the coast. There are quite a few shots from this series. Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 24mm, f/16, 1/100 sec, ISO 100. ND4 + ND9 Filters, plus my camera and tripod, I left my bicycle up on the headland. A vast amount of dust and scratches removed in photoshop.
