Whiskeytown Lake, West of Redding, CA taken this morning 03/23/08. Heading West on HWY 299 from Redding CA, this is just a short and beautiful drive; well known due to the dedication in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy; this is gorgeous man made lake with excellent fishing. Species include but are not limited to Bass, Crappie, and Trout….Excellent swimming areas set aside for just that by the Parks department, and excellent camping available in well maintained camp sites. A boat, a lake and lots of fish adds up to a great day and night of fishing for men (and women) and even kids who love fishing at the lake. Sepia and blue add up to a great night of enjoying the lake and each other’s company. This was taken at dusk when the light was almost gone. There was a huge moon behind the tree that provided the remaining light. / This photo was taken at Silverwood Lake just north of Cajon Pass in Southern California.
