  • this is basically an acrylic painting but when I photographed it the flash on my dodgy old camera went off and bleached out the centre of the image so I had to fix the middle with a bit of cloning.

  • This image was captured at Marsaxlokk, a quaint little fishing village in Malta. The water was a little murky and kind of greasy, no doubt caused by the diesel from the boats. This has probably caused the paint-like effect that seems prelevant in this image. I tweaked the brightness and colour saturation in photoshop but otherwise this picture is pretty much as is! It was a sunny day and that helped the colours to come out nicely..

The artists are / With the blessed curse to be beyond what is safe Suffering nothing / And sharing hungry moments somehow satisfied But a ship at sea we are / And the storms will come and be Being Alive / As the rocks catch flesh falling To feed you to the bellies of life / They are all here waiting to choose upon the carnage Or else, the bacteria you are will come to get you / Nothing is clean Especially the most pristine holy truths’ polished / And shined daily with rags of fearful hopes in hiding Buying predators are known here as the civilized people / Holding no mirrors lest the glass reflects outward Save the art works created so fine here by the lone artists ignored / Whose bones and blood are now here scraped off the street The Wall Street express bus speeding did not see the artist crossing / The Brokers on board had only moment before the starting bell … A good thing / The masterpiece was unharmed and there is no will The auctioneers decide not to say / The price they paid Yet the creation of arts’ fall goes on and on / Long … As the breathing lasts © Copyright 1/11/2008 C.C. • In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Historically, the term has been used to refer to reported sightings of apparitions over water that have appeared in the form of maritime sailing ships, often after having previously been known to have sunk, or to derelict vessels found floating with no crew. In fiction, ghost ships have often been vessels crewed by some manner of spectral beings. Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) Many neopagans hold a monthly ritual called an Esbat at each full moon, while some people practicing traditional Chinese religions prepare their ritual offerings to their ancestors and deities on every full and new moon

  • Another in the Masters series. / This is the centre part of a long panoramic watercolour. By Thomas Bush Hardy, 1895. I will be painting the full length seascape in the future.

  • for Now here’s my darkside “My Darkside” seeks to explore issues of identity and meaning and the questioning of one’s life and purpose over time and beyond time. There is deliberate loneliness and isolation as the viewer is invited to journey in the small boat in the moonlight of her face. The only light that the moon has to offer is a reflection of the sun, other than that it is nothing but a cold dark stone. Acrylic and Mixed Media on Canvas / February 2009 / 92cm x 92cm

  • Impressionist, painterly / Two boys doing what they do best in the rain. Originally impressionism was that the colour should be dropped pure on the canvas rather than mixed on the palette. Today, now that we have so many new paints and mediums to work with, while the original concept of impressionism remains the same, styles and techniques have evolved. / My style of Impressionism embraces traditional painting. It is the evolution of impressionism that i am hoping to achieve, from the original traditional techniques of impressionist painting all the way to this modern impressionist digital art which can be stylized and painterly depending on my subject and mood. My work is hand painted digital painting and is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.
