  • Reflective, calm and peaceful. A walk through Adelaide on a balmy summer’s evening along the Torrens, looking at public art and feeling completely at home. To have a camera there to capture a small portion of that feeling and take it home is what it is all about. / Talking Our Way Home sculpture by Shaun Kirby

It’s really an amazing story of flowering creative courage. And three (3.!) while writing the poem the image of the painting “A Wave” just slid deeply into me deep and quiet as it just guided the poem’s writing the mysterious whole way. Thank you Jarko for your 19 years of work inspired by yet another work. / And so, as Jarko states in the images description: oil on canvas 190×120cm I’ve used “A Wave” by Ivan Aiwazovsky as a model. The artists are / With the blessed curse to be beyond what is safe Suffering nothing / And sharing hungry moments somehow satisfied But a ship at sea we are / And the storms will come and be Being Alive / As the rocks catch flesh falling To feed you to the bellies of life / They are all here waiting to choose upon the carnage Or else, the bacteria you are will come to get you / Nothing is clean Especially the most pristine holy truths’ polished / And shined daily with rags of fearful hopes in hiding Buying predators are known here as the civilized people / Holding no mirrors lest the glass reflects outward Save the art works created so fine here by the lone artists ignored / Whose bones and blood are now here scraped off the street The Wall Street express bus speeding did not see the artist crossing / The Brokers on board had only moment before the starting bell … A good thing / The masterpiece was unharmed and there is no will The auctioneers decide not to say / The price they paid Yet the creation of arts’ fall goes on and on / Long … As the breathing lasts © Copyright 1/11/2008 C.C. • A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip. While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home. That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy. They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river. The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

  • I stand, I stare / I wonder, where? I pray, I breathe / to stay, or leave? I live, I lie / I wonder, why? I love, I pain / I feel the same. I give, I get / and yet, and yet? Shot on Werneth Low, Hyde. Overlooking Manchester City Centre

  • Sunsets at Menindee Lakes can be awesome. / (803 views) / Giclee Reproductions are available: visit www.suehodge.com.au / For more prints by Sue Hodge visit: http://ochresands.redbubble.com The following is from the NSW Tourism website: / http://www.visitnsw.com/town/Menindee/Menindee_Lake_System/info.aspx The Menindee Lakes System begins on the Darling River about 200 kilometres upstream from the junction of the Darling and Murray rivers at Wentworth. There are four main lakes, Lake Menindee, Lake Cawndilla, Lake Pamamaroo, and Lake Wetherell created from a series of natural depressions that filled during floods. The Menindee Lakes and Darling River were a lifeline for early explorers and it was thought the Darling would provide a means to develop Australia’s interior. The flows of the river proved to be unreliable causing difficulties with navigation and water supply and the idea of using the Menindee Lakes for water conservation was born in the late 1890s. Today the lakes and dams create a welcome water haven in the arid Outback landscape as well as a bird-watchers paradise where bird watching tours are highly recommended.

  • This is definately one of the most beautiful places of the world, at the most beautiful time of the day :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. 1000’s of Rainbow Lorikeets fly above, in their afternoon social time, hanging out in the tall Gum Trees. If you stand within 50 metres of the tree, you can’t hear yourself think for the noise, it’s so wonderful an experience! This colour happens most nights, but this cloud formation does not happen often at all, in my opinion, the perfect sky :) I hope you enjoy this shot, as much as I enjoyed shooting this one. Available Large, and best viewed large. Actual print size is 1600mm x 1000mm. Canon 50D, 10mm, no filters needed, as this was the true colour of the evening.
