  • The Thames on a summers night

  • This is another image from the Peggy’s Cove collection. I’m hoping (probably in vain) that this perspective hasn’t been shot all that often as i don’t like repeating someone else’s work. I don’t recall seeing this small village portrayed this way but that could just be that I missed it. I really love how this shot turned out and I hope you do too!

  • Strangford Lough / Northern Ireland

  • The square rigged mast of swedish tall ship Gunilla, moored in St Malo, northern France.

  • Rockport Mass

  • Florida boat marina nautical art photograph digital color picture of a seascape with boats on coastal seascape near the beach with every kind of offshore boat. Beautiful enhanced digital image of a morning heading out to go fishing yellow sky

  • This was taken at Lake Bled in Slovenia in Spring. The boats ferry the tourists to the island in the middle of the lake. I have added a vignette in PS. This was taken with a Canon EOS 350D camera.

  • The main docks of Queenscliff just near where the ferry departs for Sorrento, was a perfectly still day and had a lot of fun with the camera :D Experimenting with the new grad filter tool in Adobe Lightroom 2

  • This is a boat we offload, Nemesis!!!

  • The Swanage to Poole Chain Ferry or ‘Sandbanks’ Ferry, Dorset, England. A wonderful sight with the topless double decker bus onboard. The Sandbanks Ferry has run between Sandbanks and Studland since 1926 and is for many people, a “must do” on their visit to Poole. The chain ferry operates daily, carrying all manner of traffic across the mouth of Poole Harbour, cutting out the long journey time to places like Corfe Castle and Swanage from Poole by taking the direct route. Canon EOS 400D, 18-55 mm lens, HDR & photoshop edit. • The annual Heritage Afloat Festival at Toronto on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The festival showcases many fine examples of boats including steam driven, sail and rowing boats spanning back over the last hundred years. I added a sepia filter effect and a tinting layer in Paint Shop Pro to give the image a muted, aged look. Photograph taken using a 6 MP Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S500.

  • This was a huge struggle – I have worked from a photo again, but I have used different coloursAcrylic (Atelier Interactive ) on canvas. / 20cm x 25cm /

  • “Proud Bow” is an HDR image shot raw with a tripod, exposures of -1,0,+1 and processed with photomatix. This image appears 3-D especially when printed on metallic paper.

  • Oil on canvas painting 31×20 inch. From the “Fusion ” series, 2000. Nothing beats the exhilaration of racing the storm home in the open sea with the wind in your face and the bow soaring.

  • “Zen Fishing” was captured in Tampa Bay and represents the importance of fishing is not about catching something but rather the pleasure of just being in the moment.

  • Up at Fleetwood nature reserve along the coastline of the river Wyre are these old shipwrecks. It’s a lovely walk along here and there are lots of different types of birds to watch. It is also a favourite place for dog walkers to go, oh and photographers as well!
