  • I love my morning walks a lot, especially at dawn.

  • Merimbula Sunrise

  • Corio Bay, Eastern Beach – Geelong. / I had me some time to stop for a few quick shots on the way to work this morning. Lucky to have such a clean surface on the water, the wind really chopped it up by this arvo. / I was particularly drawn by the criss-crossing of the wires and how they reflected on the water. For the record, it’s a HDR comp.

  • Early morning on the Norfolk Broads, England. The glowing sunlight on the mist up ahead, where the river narrows, makes one eager to discover what beauty lies in wait around the next bend. / /

  • In life as well as fishing it’s all about the journey! / As the sunrise burned through the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing spot… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. I particularly like the fact that compared to a lot of fog shots it displays color, to I think, an advantage and shows the promise of a beautiful sunny summer day emerging… Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55mm lens Featured in the group Ontario November 2009 / Top Ten placement in the Summer challenge for the group Ontario November 2009 / Top Ten Placement in the Nikon D40 Users, Masterpiece challenge, September 2009 / Featured in the Nikon D40 Users group, July 2009 / Top Ten in the Journey or Destination challenge for the First Things group, July 2009 / Featured in the Outsiders, March 2009 / Featured in Canada: The Great White North group September 2008 / Featured in the Nirvana group September 2008 / Avatar for Shots In The Fog group October 2008 / Featured in the ImageWriting group November 2008 / Featured in the 100% group. • Swamp in the morning

  • Taken at Rhyll early in the morning when the tide was way out. On the way back from Cowes to Woolamai I thought I might stop by Rhyll as I had never been there before even after all the years we had a house there. I spotted this boat tied up in the mud and couldn’t resist a shot. My shoes sank into the mud real deep and had to give the tripod a good clean. Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising and graduated filters. Featured in the All About Boating group on the 19th of April 2009 One of the photos in my Phillip Island series, please click here to see the rest of my images in the series

  • This photo was taken in Marianna, Florida (USA) on film as I went to work early one morning. The bluishness of the photo is due to the fog. It is a once in a lifetime shot and I am not sure the image online will do it justice. It was the first photo I ever sold and the most requested. It was taken with film…probably Kodachrome 64 or 25 using an Argus SLR camera with a 50mm lens. The Spanish Moss on the trees blend with the fog making the trees even more other-worldly.
