A mellow dusk view of the delightful french medieval harbour of honfleur in normandy, inspiration for the artist Monet. One Samuel de Champlain sailed out of this port in 1608 and 400 years later his is still remembered in the city of Quebec … Nikon 4800 compact / f/2.7 / 1/40 sec / ISO-50
We enjoyed the mellow dusk settle on this perfect anchorage with pints of beer in hand, outside the renowned Forge inn, (officially Britains remotest mainland pub). The tiny scottish hamlet of Inverie is inaccessible by road, only by sea or a demanding walk of many miles. We had crossed to the unspoilt area of the knoydart peninsula by ferry from Mallaig for some amazing walking (see the series of 3 pics on heartbeat ridge . The sights on arrival were just captivating with wildflowers galore, deer roaming gardens, peacocks roosting (see bird in a tree and I also got the precious shot of morning gems. Loved this boat sitting so calm on the Noosa River, as I was sitting there waiting for the sunset colours to intensify, this seagull started feeding off bait fish on the surface.. Bit of a shame he wasn’t facing me, but still happy :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. Canon 50D, 14mm. Available large, and definately best viewed large!
First storm to hit the area in over 6 months, I was so excited!! Straight to my chosen spot and took hundreds of shots, just waiting for that moment. The sky was so extreme, there was no wind, no rain, just the crazy clouds, and lightning! The rain of course was close, but I managed to get this before it started to pour :) Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland. the boat is the same subject in River Living and I was very thankful it was still for this to work. Canon 50D, 10mm, 16:9 crop. Available large, and best viewed large! :)

I stand, I stare / I wonder, where? I pray, I breathe / to stay, or leave? I live, I lie / I wonder, why? I love, I pain / I feel the same. I give, I get / and yet, and yet? Shot on Werneth Low, Hyde. Overlooking Manchester City Centre
HOPE is like a light house! When you are lost in the darkness of ignorance, it makes you see the path ahead. Spread this light of hope to find a way to eternity. Getting out of Water lilies. This time presenting sunset reflections of largest lake in Bhopal city, in India. I was here in Bhopal for some personal work on the evening I was on outing besides the lake. Just found this wonderful capture. Reprocessed in CS3 ( 04.05.2009 ) Equipment : Canon EOS 400D
I used Photoshop to create this moonlit scene. / / The two original images I used can be seen below. / The second image is one of Gnoll Park in Neath, South Wales, UK / / /
For many of us, boats hold a special magic; the promise of adventure, freedom or just a good day fishing. This jukong was resting on the shores of Home Island, Cocos Islands. A calm and quite moment, yet I’m sure this boat could tell a tale or two of the sea, the elements and the people it has carried. Home Island, Cocos Islands, Australia
When I am an old horsewoman / I shall wear turquoise and diamonds, / And a straw hat that doesn’t suit me / And I shall spend my social security on / white wine and carrots, / And sit in my alleyway of my barn / And listen to my horses breathe. I will sneak out in the middle of a summer night / And ride the old bay gelding, / Across the moonstruck meadow / If my old bones will allow / And when people come to call, I will smile and nod / As I walk past the gardens to the barn / and show instead the flowers growing / inside stalls fresh-lined with straw. I will shovel and sweat and wear hay in my hair / as if it were a jewel / And I will be an embarrassment to all / Who will not yet have found the peace in being free / to have a horse as a best friend / A friend who waits at midnight hour / With muzzle and nicker and patient eyes / For the kind of woman I will be / When I am old.

Colourful houses stacked onto the hillside around Brixham harbour in Torbay, South Devon, with the setting sun perfectly complimenting the illuminated shopfronts on the harbourside. A single trawler is moored beside the quay safely home from a day of fishing. The fishermen had their catch of the day, as did I. View the rest of our portfolio here Or visit our own website here

Sailboat cruising in the light of the silvery moon.
A beautifully reflected yacht in the clear normandy light on a calm evening in harbour. Taken with a compact nikon coolpix 4800 :))
Little Boat watches as the Moon rises over the beautiful lake, as the waning sunset starts to disappear, and the gull flies to his roost for the night..;-)
