  • Between Paris & Valence…

  • A selection of night photographs of Jerusalem.

  • This calender is a compilation of light paintings. There are two methods to creating a light painting. One method is to wave or to move lights in front of the lens. The other method is to move the camera itself in front of the lights being recorded as the image. Both methods usually involve a long exposure, between one and thirty seconds and sometimes longer on the ‘Bulb’ camera setting. All my images were created with the second method, movement of the camera itself. Some of the lights are street and building lights but most are from a set of Christmas lights hanging in trees at a local Farmers Market in Downtown Asheboro, North Carolina. I used a Nikon D300 along with a 17-35mm and a 70-200mm lens to create these images. I am very proud of them. Minimal cropping along with some burning and dodging in photoshop were also used. Some distracting border lines were removed. I have been a photojournalist for the past ten years and to this day find it hard to stray outside the ethics of photojournalism photoshop techniques used to enhance my images. This means as little as possible enhancement of these images was applied in their creation. There is one exception, ‘Please God Wake Me Up From My Reality’, which noticeably is the same image four times.

  • Time passes by pretty fast. This is a collection of ten moments in time, caught in 2008.

  • This calendar has a variety of eveyday subjects/objects. Some are indoors some outdoors, some manmade some natural, some digitally altered some not. However, they all have in common that they originated from my camera and have beautiful lines, shapes and patterns that give them beautiful abstract qualities.

  • Impermanence. / Body. / Self. / Longing. / Non-self. / Pain. / Love. / Pleasure. / Spirit. / Sweet sadness. / Enormous passion. / Real fantasy. Time.

  • The Riders – a series of dynamic abstract images of racing cyclists, caught on colour infrared film. The motion blur was captured in-camera by using slow shutter speeds and camera panning. The wild colours are a typical of the unusual (and now discontinued) film.

  • Magical and Ethereal Trees in a impressionistic style.

  • A collection of photographs of the Black-capped Chickadee taken in Southern Ontario.

  • I work with flowers so it’s only natural that i will shoot them. / My flower images with dof

  • It is quietly uplifting to be greeted by the vision of a gorgeous flower, every day of the year. Your eyes will see nature’s incredible beauty as your spirit responds the purely positive feelings that lovely flowers can invoke. A collection of beautiful flowers is presented on these fine art calendar pages. All of the photographs were captured just as they were found, in their totally natural settings. The images are of uncut flowers, photographed exclusively in 100% natural light. There are no “photo tricks” or enhancements applied. There are very good reasons why “gilding the lily” is such a well known phrase. Why try to improve upon the creator’s divine perfection, when it can simply be captured for all to enjoy!

  • Here I’ve collected a small selection of models I have photographed in Adelaide. The pure beauty and emotion each had has been captured for your pleasure!
