This is a macro that I took today of a flower in a pot plant which I was given. I just liked the vivid colour, the abstract quality and that this image is totally untouched and 100% natural! Ohh, and take the time to view it larger to see the tiny dew drops on the petal :o)
If you look closely you can see two trains in this one. Firstly there is the blur of one on the left track heading away from the camera and then there is one approaching on the right track. I’ve deliberately left in it’s yellow light beam… Can you see them try viewing it large.. This was taken on the same night as Departure /
Aspen leaves, like silver dollars, cover the mossy ground all around. Taken in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, Utah. Shot with Canon Rebel XTi 1.3 sec. at f20 ISO 200
A Golden Palm Weaver bird building its nest. Mombasa, Kenya, This was part of a colony located within the grounds of the Voyager hotel, just outside the main reception. Caon 400D / Canon 100- 400mm at 400mm / ISO 400 / 1/100 sec / F 5.6
This is one of my personal faves. It was taken about 20 minutes after the Blue Wet Zebra. / The clouds were dark, the sky was colourful. / As i was fiddling with the cam, the sun came up like this! And the window was still dripping in a cool way. / I like this, coz it got my favourite colours in it!! As is! / A bit abstract isnt it. Best viewed LARGE! The detail of the water drops is quite cool Featured in the Experimental Photography and Editing group!!! / !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After this mornings well received rain this small emerging flower peeked out from the shadows low in the garden. “You don’t take a photograph. You ask, quietly, to borrow it.” ~Author Unknown Canon 400D – Sigma 70m – 300 macro.
Taken at Rhyll early in the morning when the tide was way out. On the way back from Cowes to Woolamai I thought I might stop by Rhyll as I had never been there before even after all the years we had a house there. I spotted this boat tied up in the mud and couldn’t resist a shot. My shoes sank into the mud real deep and had to give the tripod a good clean. Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising and graduated filters. Featured in the All About Boating group on the 19th of April 2009 One of the photos in my Phillip Island series, please click here to see the rest of my images in the series
