Is it flying through space or peering through a macro lens? I can’t really explain what I feel about this one. It kind of creeps me out. But I really really love it, feel a part of it. I happened upon this lovely bench painted as the American flag while on Coronado Island near City Hall. The sun was setting. No one was around. Isabella’s voice giggling in the distance for me to hurry and catch up. It made me stop. And stand directly in front of it. Almost demanding respect. My heart beat faster. My throat lumped full. I felt sad and proud all at once. Instinct almost forced my hand to my heart. Instead it was my camera to my eye. I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Best viewed large :o) Nikon D200 / 18-200mm lens, 5.6f / exposure 1/320 / processed in RAW
