Wild Blue Yonder. Here we have a view from the stardeck of the Doritius Explorer as we enter the system Wild Blue Yonder. / First settled by Deri’s Android’s fleeing the great Machine Revolt in the Andromeda Galaxy,the now defunct stargate probably saved them from almost certain destruction, from the forces that would follow.They had no sooner got through than the gate’s power cell was depleted and it shut down. / Early exploration of the planet known as Blue Yonder found that it would not support life, even android life.Yet it looked almost earthlike and very inviting.So it was put under edict and a marker put in orbit to warn of the danger. So they fell back to the moon which they named “Great Blue”,this was terraformed over a period of 10 years.The lights from its great cities can be seen from space. / Orbiting the moon was a bonus,the space station Babylon 9,once thought to have being destroyed with all the others in the Great War. / It was silent,floating in space and still operational but no life was ever detected in the system. / Beyond “Blue Yonder we have the twin sea worlds of “Forever Blue” and in the very far distance on the rim of the system is the Lesser Magnetic Cluster. / The androids have no war only peace,there are as yet no humans,although that may change in the future. .............An excerpt from volume 19 of ” The Travels of Zorind Rakkmnn ”. This is a collaboration between derid and I,under “Get Your Own Planet” I used derid’s image “Blue Moon”

And the Winners Are….. / Well everyone, this was mission impossible, to choose the winners of these 2 contests. It took most of Saturday and Sunday to decide. Some of the RedBubblers were disqualified for not sticking to the rules of each contest. I eliminated everyone that didn’t put the the tag words bluemooncomp or moonphotocomp (depending on the contest). / I also eliminated everyone that had multiple entries under using the above tag words. And I eliminated others for not following the rules for the image (i.e.- no use of my “Blue Moon” in the Blue Moon Comp. Sadly, there were some excellent entrants that got disqualified. / I went back and forth trying to figure out the winners. I swapped winners so many times that I lost track. My sister and niece helped with the selection. In the end, there were too many excellent works of art and too few places. / I am preparing a contest for next spring that will be a little better organized and make it easier for people to understand the rules. I am starting to work on the prizes so that I can have some extra bonuses for the winners next time. I will announce the next contest sometime in January. Kudos to all the winners. I just want to say that this was incredibly hard to judge due to the quality of the entries. So a big congratulations to all the other entrants in this contest.
