Taken on the Annual Sydney to Hobart yacht race on Boxing Day 2007. The leading super-maxi on the left is Wild Oats XI which narrowly beat its nearest rival, Leopard, in the race through Sydney Heads. Skandia is a distant third. Incredible to see how close these huge super-maxis get to the boiling mass of craft that make up the spectator fleet! Wild Oats XI was the eventual winner for the third year running in what is one of the world’s premier blue water racing classics.
