The power line across the street from my house went haywire, and kinda caught on fire, as I sat with my camera taking photos of it, neighbors were kind of freaking out but I thought it was the coolest thing I ever saw, you can see the waves from the heat, / (re-submit after resizing)

I saw the clouds part and wanted the shot but all the telephone polls were in the picture and the first thing that came to mind was, “There aren’t any telephone polls in Heaven!” Many times I have called out to God and felt like I wasn’t going to get and answer. Those were the many times I did not use the brain that God gave me! Man I wish I had His phone number!!!! /

For as many years as I can remember I have driven past this abandoned, dilapidated, vine-covered house north of Smithfield, Utah, USA, always intending to stop and photograph it while it was still standing. Unfortunately, it fell before I got around to taking the photo.
Most of the time, I would do everything I could to take a photo and omit the power lines. But in Mexico, they are such a part of the atmosphere that it feels necessary to include the in the city shots. This is a scene from the streets of Mérida in the Yucatan state of Mexico.
