I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. (“May The Horse Be With You” by Relient K) / / / / /
An IR shot. Title inspired by Frank Zappa again. / ......................................................................................................... / Out in Cucamonga / Many years ago / Near a Holy Roller Church / There was once a place / Where me and a couple of friends / Began practicing for the time / We might go / On TV / And as fate would have it / Later on we got a chance to play. / All we ever really knew: / That it was crazy / / / / / / Why not check out “Fenced Off” while you’re here… / /
An IR shot of two horses. / Luckily they both stood still for the 2 sec’s I needed them to.
This is an infrared shot. It was a very overcast day – not much blue sky about at all so I tried something a little different with this one. / Hope you like it.
An IR shot…...surprise, surprise.. / / Without the wonders of an ir filter this was just an ordinary paddock…green grass, a lone tree and a flowing river.
I’ve always liked this one. I’d gotten up at 4:30am to catch a sunrise, got myself in to place & was patiently waiting for dawn when the thickest blanket of fog I’ve ever seen decended all around me. I was not impressed, until I got above the fog & saw the view : )
“Seven Swallows Sitting” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © A family of Australian Woodswallows perched tightly together on a wire preening each other against a background of bright blue sky. Bowen, Queensland. “The swallow, bonny birdie, comes sharp / twittering o’er the sea, / And gladly is her carol heard for the sunny / days to be; / She shares not with us wintry glooms, / but yet, no faithless thing, / She hunts the summer o’er the earth with / wearied little wing.”
While my scanner is on the blink I’ve been going through some of my photos taken while in Shanghai, China in 2006 and found a few with potential. I don’t think I’ll upload too many as photography isn’t one of my strong points, but it is fun to see what you can do with an image in photoshop.
I like the use of selected colouring on this because of the brown colour of the wire. The background of the old water tank sets up the scene perfectly, along with the Lithgow Valley Mountain range behind it.

Mixed Medium on canvas. The original is now currently for sale This painting was formerly / but it never really grew on me and I had it on Ebay for a while and it didn’t sell there so I decided to take the plunge and work over it. So, the result is this rather nice (if I may say so myself) mixed medium painting which was really enjoyable to create. Thank you : )

Hi there! ☺ Yes…it´s me…..Andreas Stridsberg. Why am I opening a new account you ask? Well the answer is simple: Because i´m under contract with various publishers that demand they have “first dibs” on my work i can´t go around selling them left and right. I first have to wait for them to either accept or reject any of my new work. And because that´s usually a looooong and slooooow process i then use my other account to simply showcase my work. While on this account i can make those i know for sure my publishers have rejected available as prints to whomever may be interested. Does it make sense to you? :-) I´m sorry for possibly posting duplicates of something that i might already have posted at my original stridsberg-account But i need to keep them separeted due to above mentioned reasons. :-) Thanks for stopping by! And as always…keep an eye on my own website for my most recent work and my pointless blog: Sincerly Andreas Stridsberg www.mystic-pic.com P.S. I´m also sorry for repeating this message on my every single upload tonight…i just thought i´d be as clear as possible. Godness how i´m apologizing right now…i´m sorry about that as well. :-/
I have taken it for granted, as axiomatic, that I am "something", even something very valuable, something I have never questioned. At the same time I am unable to explain to another what this something is. Is the reason I do not know because, in fact, this "something" does not exist but is merely assumed to exist? the real question is not ‘who’ am I, but ‘what’ am I? (Gurdjieff)

We don’t get much snow in the UK these days, so the current icy grip is a visual feast and gets us all excited (well, most of us anyway). Taken in Norfolk, UK, 20.12.09
