View across the sea towards Central Pier Blackpool UK, shot from the North Pier when the storm was breaking and the light was striking the water. The ferris wheel is mounted on the pier and the Pepsi Max Big One roller Coaster, once the highest in the world can be seen in the distance at Blackpool Pleasure beach. One of a sequence that has had no manipulation in colour. This is how the shot came back from the printers…….(loss of) colour due to leaving the film on the dashboard of the car in full sunlight prior to developing. These are horses running on a beach having fun. I kind of made them up, but mostly took the shape of these from arabian horses. This oil on canvas is framed and measures 125cm x 90cm and is for sale on my website www.carrysmith.com

Southern Gannets in close to the rocks feeding on cuttlefish and squid. The image is a composite all shot within 30 minutes. It is an initial long exposure with a wide angle lens. The birds were then shot at the same location in the same session with a telephoto lens and “dropped in” during post processing.

This is another old painting that wasn’t all that great. I re-worked it and added a few things, changes around the colors and took away a bit of over worked parts. I did this one the same time I did Moonlit. This was a very wonderful model named Sandra, she was from Germany. my biggest regret was I could not pay her, she was so good and stayed a long time. Where ever she is now, I wish her well! I was playing around with styles at first and kept placing the image through filters for the background. Then I added different photoshop brushes to create my theme and this what I came up with. I love the colors. /
