This is obviously not an original idea, and I want to thank both ECGardner and Angelique Brunas for their works along these lines that motivated me to explore my own creativity. I hope they do not mind my using their work as a basis for my inspiration, and I am still working to achieve the balance, beauty, and artistry they have exhibited through their respective nature based collages! I will give folks a while to guess what the various panes are comprised of, they should be pretty easy to figure out, later I will insert the proper descriptions of their contents. This is a compilation image of a flock of Canada geese and the sun setting behind the San Juan mountains in southern Colorado.

Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. Featured by Depth of Field – 2 images per day – May 2009 From the visit to the Botanic Gardens in Adelaide. Tiny yellow flowers which appear to be floatng in space like disembodied helicopters. At least 1:1 / I have no idea what they are called but I was drawn to their simplicity and their bright colour and the challege of using my D90 with AF-S Micro Nikkor60mm lens. 1/50sec F/3.2 / /

Another experiment with a spring and using a CD as a reflective background. More experimenting to come with these! :D Enjoy!

Third in the series… three drops.. nothing too special. I shall explain the crazy set-up for this one… I had the tiny green spring (which was strung with seed beads) resting on a CD with a shiny gift bow as the background. I used a syringe to place the water drops and used my flash as well. Haha, it makes sense to me! Enjoy!

Bored and needing some new “material”, I headed outside with Nikon D300, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro and SB800 flash. After blinding multiple insects, I settled down at my blooming Hydrogena. Amazing what nature will “paint” for us.
