  • came across this today while out driving, was no sooner out the car that it started to rain, which turned out for the best as it probably looks better like this rather than bathed in sunshine. (Located in Warners Road, just off Geelong Ballan Road.) / /

  • This was taken with a flash of course.. it was later on in the eve and I saw these two working there way to a crash.. So I popped up and hand held as close as I dared with time running out. • Taxi’s (horse carriages) waiting for fares. The castle (1080) and Blackgate tower (1247), in Newcastle upon Tyne. St Nicholas Street. Looking south, to the mouth of the High Level bridge. Painted from a photo, taken in 1901. HB pencil and Watercolour, on 10” x7” Bockingford, tinted eggshell, 140lb.

  • Another peacock feather pic. Ive always been fascinated with the colours of peacocks, and the way they fan their tail feathers out. They are one of the most magnificent looking birds. Taken with a Canon 5D and 100-400mm L Series Lens. Could make a nice greeting card?

  • A palette knife and sepia version of my Newcastle watercolour painting. Taxi’s (horse carriages) waiting for fares. The castle (1080) and Black Gate tower (1247), in Newcastle upon Tyne. St Nicholas Street. Looking south, to the mouth of the High Level bridge. Painted from a photo, taken in 1901. HB pencil and Watercolour, on 10” x7” Bockingford, tinted eggshell, 140lb.

  • Como Marina and Bridge just after sunset – Como, Sydney, Australia. The interesting thing about this photo is that I was experimenting with delaying the time between each of the bracketed shots to capture the a train going each way on the bridge and I think this may have added to the vivid electric blue colour. The first shot was taken about 15 mins after sunset and the other two bracketed shots were taken 5 and 10 mins later respectively. You can see this a little in the fact that the boat on the right is a bit fuzzy. Very little post processing was done on this shot other than the obvious HDR process in Photomatix. Other that that it was just a minor crop to get rid of something I couldn’t see in the low light in the forground in iphoto and thats it. Nikon D90, Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm, f10, HDR’ed in Photomatix with 3 exposures, mtr, -2 & +2, at 20, 6 & 30 seconds, iphoto, Slik 614CF tripod, Nikon ML-L3 remote.
